Adventuers Valt Q&A

Here is a question. Would Eladrin get the Greatspear as part of their Elardrin Soldier feat? Unless it says it doesnt specifically I would say that it does.
The feat says "you gain proficiency with all spears", so unless there's some text in Adventurer's Vault saying otherwise, eladrin do indeed get a superior proficiency and a feat bonus to damage from a single feat. Which is cool, 'cuz eladrin fighters and warlords need the help.

This would also apply to Dwarven Weapon Training and the superior axes and hammers. Dwarven fighters just got even better.

I saw in a preview a wand that had an added property to give magic missle a push effect.

Are there any interesting new wand or staff enchants for aspiring wizards? Thanks!

From what I saw on the other board, many [if not all] of the at-will spells [both wizard and warlock] had a similar implement. From the top of my head:

Extra "area" damage for people entering the square made by the dagger at-will, causing the creature in the center of the scorching burst to take extra damage, turning thunderwave into close burst 1, allowing combat advantage the turn after using eyebite, etc

This seems completely unintentional.

That's funny, because it seems completely intentional to me.

Seriously? You think they intended that a single racial feat give the equivalent of like, six different superior weapon proficiencies for weapons that hadn't even been designed yet? Give me a break.

I agree, if one feat gives 10 profs or 1, you still can only weild 1 or 2 at a time...not broken

It is cool for you to have trained in exotic fighting styles...

So where is the problme?
Raw says all...I think I can take that at face value intill I am told otherwise...

I dunno. Do we actually have the RAW yet? Cause I don't.

In any case, your point seems irrelevant. If one feat giving proficiency with every superior weapon would be "not broken", why is it specifically the RAW in the core books that you need a different proficiency for every superior weapon? You'd have thought they'd have put in some kind of "get 10 superior weapon proficiencies this way!" stuff.
