October '08: What Are You Playing?

Angel Tarragon

Dawn Dragon
Right now I'm playing Star Trek Starship Creator Warp II, SimCity 4 and Symphony of the Night.

I gots to find me a PC version of Paperboy though. There is a part of me that wants to kick old school with this game something fierce.

Right now, playing Legend of Dragoon (PS1) and Nightshade (Kunoichi in Japan; PS2). I'll probably pick up Warriors Orochi 2 (PS2) at some point, and I really need to get back to Baten Kaitos Origins (GC). I need to check when the new Suikoden game is coming out for the DS, I'm going to have to buy a new system just for one game. *sigh*

Mostly City of Heroes, though I've gotten a good start on Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for my Wii and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People - Episode One: Homestar Ruiner.

I'll be picking up Sam & Max: Season One for the Wii next week. Much hilarity will ensue. I think Rune Factory 2 for the DS comes out this month, too.

Finally beat GTA IV; strong game, abrupt ending.

Currently playing nothing. Nothing's really piqued my interest, so I'm taking a break for a while.

Making a decision about my next old school game - I'm nearly done the SNES/Genesis era of the games I missed with my recent completions of PSIV and Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. It'll either be Tales of Phantasia (GBA) or Zelda: Oracle of Ages. After those two, it's on to the PS1/N64/Saturn era!

Otherwise, I'm playing:
- Warhawk (PS3) - got a bunch of trophies recently
- Rock Band (PS3)

Wife finally finished FFVIII and was very satisfied with it. She's deciding between FFIX, Chrono Trigger, or FFVII: Crisis Core (she's a huge FFVII fan).

PC: Finished Puzzle Quest. Whoopee! Couldn't kill the final boss with the first character I made, but got him on the first try with my second character. One dissapointment: You can only have one active character, and once you start a new one, the old one is gone.

Xbox360: Tales of Vesperia: Entertaining Japanese RPG with lots of cut-scenes and anime-style graphics and plot.

Wish I was playing: Warhammer Online: The graphics chip on my notebook isn't powerful enough. The readme.txt after you install tells you the REAL specs, which differs quite a bit from the one on the box.

Silent Hill: Homecoming (PS3). Great addition to the series, so far. Very creepy and only an hour or so in and I have had plenty of scares and jumps. :) Makes for a great October.

I just picked up a PS3 (when they released the cheaper model with a rumble controller), so October is going to start off with Uncharted for me.

Also really looking forward to Silent Hill Homecoming (huge fan of that series) and Fable 2 later in the month. The first Fable, despite some of the negative things you read on message boards, remains one of my best gaming experiences. I just hope the sequel is as charming. I fear they may have made it more "edgy" from some of Molyneux's comments.

PC:
Spore
Civ IV: Colonization(so hard, but so fun)
Team Fortress 2

360:
Rock Band 2(great new stuff every single week. I just can't put it down)
Force Unleashed(haha, throwing Stormtroopers around just doesn't get old for me)
Duke Nukem 3D
Geometry Wars 2

Its only going to have games added to this soon...Fallout, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Lego Batman when I get it, and then the big release of the year that is Chrono Trigger DS in November.
