Oh, you're not alone, I just hadn't noticed that one yet (busy day). I'm very interested in how the bard will turn out.

Speaking of Draconomicon and Martial Power, they only mention that they're out "November 2008" how soon is that? Is that the 1st? I want to know when I can reasonably walk into a B&N/Borders and buy it.

I think the third Tuesday of the month is the standard release date for WotC items.

I may subscribe for the month just for the minotaur article. But I really wish Dragon would start running articles on playing creatures that don't already have race write-ups. I can play minotaurs now, but I'd like to play a satyr, or a lizardfolk, or whatever.

I tend to disagree. If you just want a racial write-up for a satyr or lizardfolk, make one! It's not difficult at all. Pick a couple ability score mods, skill bonuses, minor racial features and a racial power. Done.

I'm glad they're doing the racial stuff for the more-- uhh, popular?-- non-standard races, because they're the ones more likely to be played and so they're the ones more in need of racial feats and such.

Not everybody enjoys game design. I'd rather pay others to do it for me.

The RPGA reports were usually part of Polyhedron (and later in Dungeon and maybe Dragon after Polyhedron's demise). Paizo was still charging for the magazine at that time.

Well now that WotC has total control over their free to play event structure that is an introductory as well as international forum for play that allows people to play for free and feel like they are playing with all other participants....(see next reply)

This whole RPGA report thing is a tempest in a teapot. Even though they also in Dragon, they're free content which can also be accessed from the RPGA tab.

They should not have it appear that these are part of the paid for product that is Dragon as a part of DDI. It seems misleading to people who would not otherwise already know. I expect the calendar to say free if it does not require a subscription. Dragon costs money and is not all free, do saying something belongs to Dragon would seem to indicate you need a subscription.

By just putting it in the calendar as free even IF the article is compiled into Dragon later, then people will know and prevent system screw-ups when trying to download any PDF that the system will classify as belonging behind the subscription firewall.

Building the RPGA up and letting people play in it and handling it correctly will bolster the influence D&D has in the market to help it grow, and every little thing that can do that should be done, even just simply stating on the calendar that this is a free article.

The odds someone subscribes to DDI just for the RPGA reports or information is not zero, therefore it should be made to remove all doubt to better promote all 3 products, the RPGA, DDI, and D&D.

Its all about keeping up appearances, and I would like to see all 3 treated better with the new LFR that should be able to help promote D&D better for what few gaming stores there are left.
