This poll is about market share -- people voting with money.

So what do you buy and what do you own?

I'm not sure what some of these questions prove, though.

I mean, I own the 3e core books (and have for a while now), but if those same books were released today instead of 8 years ago, They'd still be sitting on the store shelf.

Interesting poll, with some interesting results so far.

The only problem I see is that the poll may show a spike for 3E sales in the last 3 months, due to people buying up stuff they always wanted in case the products disappear soon (as with Goodman and others).

I kn ow everyone complains about poll options, but putting 3.0, 3.5 and Pathfinder in the same group is not really a good idea. I do 3.0 and 3.5, and not Pathfinder, so I will decline to vote.

Fair enough, but as the poll author, I want to complain about the poll answering rather than questioning.

My issue: I meant the "I have the PHB/ DMG / MM" to be people who have the 3 core books needed to DM a system.

I meant the "I have the PHB" to be people who have at least the equipment to be a player.

I meant for people who have all 3 core books to answer yes to the first and to the second (being as they by definition do own a PHB).

Yet the number who own all 3 is larger than the number who own the PHB, per the poll. Very curious.
