When they mentioned this, I immediately thought of a martial controller, a mastermind type of guy sending minions into battle. It would be kinda like a beastmaster ranger, maybe a little invoker thrown in. I think it would be cool if these minions were called henchmen.Well right away somethings I noticed:
-The Warlord idea as a "Minion Commander", I wonder if they ever bring this into the game.
The impression I got is that something is definitely in the works that looks a lot like a necromancer, if it's not actually a necromancer by name.-I think considering the way they were acting, no one can say that the Necromancer won't be in the game.
Congrats on getting your question answered! I liked how they said they would try to differentiate guns from bows and crossbows. Incidentally, I have a question I'd like to ask them, how did you send it in?-Hehe, fun seeing my question in there. I do hope that they give some serious thought into making firearms interesting and different from bows and crossbows. It be neat to see both the historical and fantasy-firearms they were talking about. Though, didn't quite fully answer it, ie; "what level of technology" so how technologically advance they could see it going. But since it was more a brainstorm makes sense not too. Also, come on that Dragon article![]()

Thanks! I'll try it out.Send it to dndinsider@wizards.com
At least, I think that's the address. It's a running joke when we do the podcasts that I can never remember what it is.
Thinking more on it, much like how animal companions for beastmaster rangers can do different things depending on what type of beast they are, perhaps this minion-controller could have different types of henchmen. I think basing them off of monster roles would be best. So perhaps the minion-controller could get a brute, soldier, lurker, artillery, etc. companion, or maybe more than one at a time. When they mentioned this, I immediately thought of a martial controller, a mastermind type of guy sending minions into battle. Episode 31 isn't showing up in my iTunes. It's in the rssfeed and I'm downloading it now, outside of itunes, I do imagine that lots of people won't know it's there... might be something in the xml file itunes doesn't like.
Odd, iTunes picked up the new podcast for me as usual.I had the same problem, iTunes didn't pick it up, so I had to download it directly.
