Hybrid Playtest part 2

As noted, they included (specified several options) which things you can get via the hybrid talent feat.

They also changed the amount of hit points and surges you get from each class, so you get truely half hit points and half surges, instead of half rounded down.

I am really glad they are showing the PHB2 (and Swordmage) Classes in the Hybrid Characters article that was what I was mainly hoping for. It is going to be lots of fun come June 2nd when I can mess around with these in the Character Builder as well.

They say, in the article itself, that Hybrid won't be supported in the Character Builder at this time.

I'm pretty sure that's a mistake. The devs mentioned (and it was reported in the D&DI forum) that Hybrid would be ready for the next month's update to the CB. The box that says it won't be supported by the CB looks like the same one that was in the first Hybrid article. They probably forgot to remove it.

Oh, thank god. That's exactly what I was hoping for. After drawing up a Wizard/Rogue, it was painfully obvious that the hit points really needed to be fixed.

Cool, I missed that.

You know, I get they're trying to reduce the math, but is it really that difficult to average two numbers? I feel like the HP/HS lines really just take up space.

The more I look at it, the more I think "meh". I'd rather they combined the armor and limited the weapon proficiencies. My dreamed of Deva Swordmage/Avenger isn't looking like I was hoping it would.

I really dig the fact that this is compatible with multiclassing. It means that you can take two "complimentary" classes to make a good hybrid, and expand your ability even further with multiclassing.

Bardbarians (warrior skalds!) ahoy!

Definitely an improvement. I kinda like packaging the armour proficiencies into a Hybrid Talent option. The Paragon option is solid, as there are a lot of solid options for Hybrid Talent.

Also, so nice to see the PH2 classes added into the mix.
