What? Cause its Raven's Loft? Some bird place? Bah! I'm not afraid of any birds, unless its Big, like 7' tall, yellow and lives in a world of make-believe. =v)

Nothin' like throwing a flock of undead, zombie big-birds at your players. :D

Question! I am considering my last feat (rapid reload v. something else).

The something else I am looking at is the feat Broomstick from the character concept I am basing my character on.

The WITCH Core Class - Wizards Community

BROOMSTICK [Item Creation]
You can enchant a normal broom to fly.
Prerequisites: Witch level 5.
Benefit: Once per day, your touch imbues a nonmagical broomstick with the power of flight. The broom functions as a broom of flying for 24 hours, obeying only your commands. Using this feat is a spell-like ability that incurs none of the costs normally associated with Item Creation. Enchanting a specific brooms costs 100xp, but subsequent enchantments on the same broom incur no additional cost.

Broom of Flying

This broom is able to fly through the air as if affected by an overland flight spell (average maneuverability) for up to 9 hours per day (split up as its owner desires). The broom can carry 200 pounds and fly at a speed of 40 feet, or up to 400 pounds at a speed at 30 feet. In addition, the broom can travel alone to any destination named by the owner as long as she has a good idea of the location and layout of that destination. It comes to its owner from as far away as 300 yards when she speaks the command word. The broom of flying has a speed of 40 feet when it has no rider.

So basically I want to see how you feel about this. I'm not usually big on flying but I think flavor wise it would be cool for a witch to have.

Now, one of the major things I would want to do with this be able to send my broom someplace, let someone else hop on, and have it return to me. The above text seems to say that is possible but of course I leave that up to you to decide. This feat would pretty much give me a permanent flying broom. I'm not sure how useful it will be within a castle type of situation but I'm sure I can find some creative use for it :)

What do you think?

Also, I'd like some sort of small portable cauldron. There is an Iron Pot (5 sp) listed as equipment, would this be the same type of thing or would you want me to have something special? I guess it would be for "brewing potions" on the road, though it's more a story thing as I doubt we would ever have time to do that while traveling. Would she need an entire 500 sp alchemists lab? There has to be some sort of portable thing I would think.

Queenie, I'm fine with the Broomstick thing; my biggest concern with it is that the vast majority of Ravenloft is a "dungeon crawl" with little opportunity for flying, so I don't know how much use you would get out of it.

I'm fine with her having some sort of scaled down cauldron and such for brewing potions as well. It fits the character concept that she should be able to brew potions from miscellaneous natural ingredients she would fine...the whole "eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog" thing.

Guys, I'm still a bit behind, so I won't have the IC thread up tonight. I'm really, really going to shoot for tomorrow though.

You're just being nice so I can get my character finished ;)

I'll consider the Broomstick thing. I thought it fit the concept but realize there might not be a lot of use for it, which is why I was hoping it would work to grab hurt people from the front line. Rapid reload is a good one but I feel like I shouldn't use two feats for something that isn't going to be a main concept for me.
