Possibly a Idiot.
Well, Dandin doesn't need a short rest and should be fairly good at scouting.
I think that you've been generally pretty busy hiking around the city, avoiding undue notice. And I don't think that there was much delay before pushing south. So, no. I'm mixed when it comes to the length of a Short Rest. On the one hand, I think that the design of them being an hour is a mistake, but OTOH, it's what they chose, and shortening it could have unintended consequences, so I haven't "pulled the trigger" on any house rules for it.@FitzTheRuke
So, looks like nobody needs a short rest. Is it possible for Morgan to get one during all the chatting and stuff? I forget if you do 15 minute rests or 1 hour rests. If it's a 1 hour short rest, I'll take it at the end of the day by tagging it to the beginning of my Long Rest so Morgan can swap out spells.
Yeah, I'm a fan of narratively appropriate rests as well and I also feel that it makes more sense to wait until we settle in. But it never hurts to ask, right?I think that you've been generally pretty busy hiking around the city, avoiding undue notice. And I don't think that there was much delay before pushing south. Yes, the first hour of a group long rest could be a short rest for Morgan.Yeah, I'm a fan of narratively appropriate rests as well and I also feel that it makes more sense to wait until we settle in. But it never hurts to ask, right?
I assume, once we are an hour into our long rest, I can swap my spells, etc..? I won't start my Long Rest until later.
