AtG Howling Crag (5e PBP) OOC

Double post

My bad. You can move a person 20 feet per turn using an action for levitate.

We can always try the other at via the gorge. Can we burrow under the giant boulders( using wild shape to become a large burrowing animal) or, if someone has telekinesis, move the rocks.

What if we approach via the road at night. When we are 20-30 mins from the Crag, we cast invisibility and the other person cast fly on two people.

We sneak up to 40 feet from the gates and walk off the edge.

2 people fly from a distance, (Gimlak & Doc)

Kharu fly as a bird,

Donnell will climb and pull the levitating Colonel like he's a helium balloon.

We just have to coordinate the invisibility/fly. Flyers probably don't need invisibility since they're not approaching the gates.

So, order:

Gimlak cast invisibility on Donnell and Colonel. We approach and climb around.

Once we are in, or on the edge, Gimlak casts fly on himself and Doc (which kills invisibility). We all enter together.

I'll cast a Pass Without Trace too - so +10 Stealth for everyone

and if its a night entry I can do the Giant Eagle wildshape and carry Donnell in maybe

Is there a way for the giant eagle to get most of us into position, if need be?

Like riding the eagle and dropping from above and using levitate to slowly and safely descend towards the opening?

That works. And before we start, Gimlak will redo the telepathic bond which lasts 1h, so we can easily coordinate. Inspiring leader 15 thp is still active.

Maybe once on the ledge, Donnell and Colonel can still tie a rope and send it down For Gimlak and Doc. We'll be flying, but with the hazards, it makes sense to have an extra layer of security. And Gimlak has featherfall, so it's unlikely will be dying from a fall; hopefully ;-)

The plan will cost a level 3 slot (invisibility on Donnel and Colonel) + a level 4 slot + 1 spell point (extend spell fly on Doc and Gimlak - extend spell for 20 minutes duration and advantage on saves not to lose concentration - hope Doc likes to fly!).

And if I could recommend, Kahru should perhaps shape Shange in a small form (like a mouse or a bug if he can) and go in with Donnel. This way Donnel will have invisibility plus pass without trace. The invisible Colonel-ballon will also have pass without trace's benefit edit: once he gets within 30 ft of them. Note: Pass without trace: range self, 30ft emanation.
Cheers,

SG

I like this plan. Should we execute it? I didn't realize that Pass Without Trace was now a 30' emanation now.

It would mean traveling back up the main road. Pass without Trace AND invisibility might be overkill. Could we risk going with just PWT? I don't know The Colonel's sneak.

I think it would be easier to fly along the gorge, just below the lip, out of sight of the watch tower, following the road than to fly from the bottom.

Ropes:
We have 250 feet of rope, if everyone has some. I could drop ropes but from the bottom of the gorge to the window is 800 feet. So I'm not sure what ropes are going to do other than give you something to grab when you get to the window.

With all our ropes, we could piton it into the wall, horizontally so people can hold it like a railing as they make their way around the North Tower but I worry that fixing the rope in will make too much noise.

Double post:

The easiest method:, we have Telekinesis and we are at the bottom of the gorge. We could try moving the boulders.

In any case, I've posted IC. We should just go for it, whatever we choose.

I have a few things to say:
1) PwoT won't stop you from being spotted from the air.
2) The sun at dusk is behind the western spire (on the left of the map), which will make the gatehouse in its shadow, but not 'sun in the guards' eyes'.
3) Kahru expects that about an hour after dusk is when the wind will be at its calmest. It never totally dies, but it does die-down.
