Ah, yes, Distant Advantage! I made sure I would recommend it for Girth, but see, then I forgot. I'd say in our party it's much better than action surge (well, having bot would be the best :heh:) 'cause we flank a lot, we're good at these kind of things.

And yeah, I was pretty sure that you can retrain an additional feat/power if it wasn't available at the time of last update. Since Brash strike was not approved yet at the time, that would make a "free" retraining.

From the "Player's" section of the Charter:

Every time your character gains a level, you can retrain one feat, power, and skill. If new character options have been approved for play in L4W since your character’s last approval of submission or level-up, you may additionally retrain one new feat, power, and class feature (when selectable) from the new source(s).

So, yeah, you guys are right, since MP is new since we all leveled up last, we get one free retraining if we're using something from MP beyond the normal one. So, actually, Hrav can retrain something normally at level 3, another thing at level 4, and another thing if it's new since he hit level 2. Not sure I'll do all that, but I'll have to look to see if there's anything from MP, PHB2, or Dragon I want while I'm strategizing. Our "new material" rule had slipped my mind.

And I agree with Ata, Distant Flanking should be really helpful for Girth, especially if we go back up to having 4 melee characters.

EDIT: Just realized that the Charter even says (in italics, even!) that you can retrain one fear, power, AND skill. I don't remember deciding that. :p Still, that much more flexibility.

So, guys, I was thinking... what do you think about pass forward vs boundless endurance? The latter really saved my(our) butt in the last fight, but with one more leader it's probably not really needed. And pass forward+Hrav+Distant Advantage= Killer combo. What you say?

The one more leader will also be one more melee flanker, so while Hrav would like Pass Forward, it isn't as critical to him. I really think either Pass Forward or Boundless Endurance works. Still, if you want me to pick... Pass Forward is my vote! :)

I know I'm in to stick with you as DM and the rest of the players as a group. As Hrav said, we could stand to get another player or two. Stonegod's goblin sorcerer Dang't and Erekose13's hobgoblin bard would be great fits.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, garyh. This game has been a great read though I'll have a lot to catch up on (I think I left off in the mid 20s). I'll wait till you weigh in, Phoenix, but I'm game as a second alt if you are looking to fill the MMC ranks.

OOC: I think the crew is already agreed that Dang't and Beryk are a great fit and I'm inclined to agree. As far as I'm concerned, you're both in the group for the sequel and recruiting is closed. Welcome! I'm glad everyone enjoyed playing and reading the adventure. I've enjoyed it alot myself. So much so that it has become my favorite PBP endeavor currently. (Which causes problems when the LEW adventure I'm DMing falls behind because I'm paying more attention over here. This causes problems because once again two of the players are in both adventures. Now it is Covaithe and Stonegod, before it was Covaithe and Halford before he disappeared. So if I get too far behind on posting for the LEW adventure, they'll hold hostage their posts in this adventure until I even things out again. On the bright side though, that other adventure is getting close to wrapping up, so the division of attention won't impact either adventure for long.)

OOC Edit: Oh, and how many people will be using some of their newly acquired treasure to buy some ranged weapons??? I should have just made all the magic items you found ranged weapons! :D

I gave a look at your character, Erekose. If you want a piece of advice, while starting with 20 Cha, 18 Con makes him an awesome bard at low levels, you might have a hard time qualifying for feats or multiclass you might want later. Just a thought.

And for ranged weapons... I thoght about buying a +1 javelin, but heh... with the heavy shield and the obvious great efficiency of a +2 Waraxe, I really don't see Alexander switching weapons. I mean... you know? If something is out of reach, charging through hell is more his style :p

Also, I believe he might be the richest L4W character at the moment, since he didn't spend a single cp since character creation. If I save for another level I might actually be able to buy something good. (I'm a cheapskate, I know.)

When will AP become available to use? And how soon, Phoenix, do you foresee starting the next episode?

I will retrain Vampiric Embrace into Chains of Levisitus if AP cuts in before we start again. So if I can find out I can start considering Girth's sheet.
