Psion to debut in July

Actually, if 3.5 taught me anything, it's that people will twist things any way they can to "prove" psionics were broken.

Nah, some people just see things objectively.

I never really cared about Psionics ever...nothing wrong with 'em, just not my thing. But just like every class in 4E, I look forward to ripping off the attached fluff and throwing my own on.

In a way I am not happy about doing the playtest version of the Psion. While I am interested in what they do, the playest will be an incomplete class, with limited powers and builds (just like the Monk, I assume) I would prefer to see the whole class in situ, as he saying goes, rather than broken out of the whole book and showed halfway done.

But its not a playtest, its supposedly the whole class that is being released.

I'm extrapolating from comments made in this month's Ampersand. Bill Slavicsek said that they would be releasing one build for five of the PHB3 classes. I could be wrong.

Not what I heard. It is a limited build, and while they might not call it a playtest, I woud be very surprised if there were not changes before PHBIII, so I would call it a playtest.
