So... is this thread actually going to be a hate-on for rpg.net like I initially thought it was, or are people going to also go along with the OP's other suggestion?

There are more claims in that thread, but I don't want to copy/paste them here, so read on... and then maybe we can discuss some of the more valid ones.

For example, my post about the ability for Fighters to have a chance to dish out big damage under Beta being pulled out, but Rogues with their ability to inflict conditions just for Sneak Attacking staying in. Fighters have to spend feats in order to try and do this, but Rogues have an easier time now SA stuff (more thing vulnerable to SA).

What did the OP expect? Coming to on board to point out something wrong on another and that is the kind of response ya get. What he is getting is poeple responding to what they see wrong over there and ya don't like it. Eh that is the chance you take dragging another board into some place else's war

Fighters still can dish out alot of damange more so then in 3.5 , with the new crit feats ya can build one that crits with say a longsword on 17 auto confirms and blinds anyone he hits with a crit, or do bleed damage or both at once

RPGNet = EN World + Circvs Maximvs*

Man what?

Seriously though, I agree with GlassJaw that RPGNet is a great creative resource just like EN World is. I have tons of bookmarks to some pretty awesome idea-generating threads.

Oh, I rather think different forums at RPGnet have their own character.

The RPG general forum can be pure gold.

The 4e forum, commonly known as the d20 forum... not so much.

That's a pretty accurate assessment. I'd also add some of the discussions in the threads linked to the featured articles to the pure gold list as well.

And keep in mind those guys have a nasty rep for banning and then lying about the reasons for it.

*shrugs* I've never heard that said about RPGNet ever.

Granted, I'm not a fan of their public, unlocked ban announcements that they post in Trouble Tickets that are little more than a digital pillory, and I'm thankful we don't do that at EN World.

Maybe that's a balance issue, in that Fighters can wear heavier armor and survive in the fight longer, while Rogues needed more sneak attacks to avoid too much damage?

Now now, the kids over at RPGnet are entitled to their opinions.

My own opinion, in a nutshell: I dig PF. I still prefer 3.5E, but there are a lot more compatible components that I could harvest out of PF than I could with 4E.
