[3.5] The Storm Coast

Theopholis begins to chuckle under his breath. "Hobbos. Thats funny. You save his life and he treats you like that. If you two hadnt showed up he'd be dead. Just plain disrespectful, talking down to you like that."

 

[Mark Chance]

Oswald's laugh can be heard echoing down the corridor. One of the hobbos hawks a gob of phlegm at Theophilus. It lands with a plop! on the table near the warrior's feet. Both hobbos chuckle.

Morgav has vanished down the other exit by this time.

Isóriand tries to subtly check his bonds. They are tight. Wriggling free might be possible, but not under the hobbos watchful eyes. It seems almost certain that they'd notice the necessary movements. Perhaps the best bet would be a forceful application of strength.

 

[Sphyh]

Theopholis listens to hear where the spit lands and with a sigh of relief he swings his feet of the table and his body into an upright position. (ooc: now looks like he is casually sitting on the table save the restraints) He glances at the spit at the end of the table and looks at the Hobbos and begins to address them more directly trying to get their attention.

"Oh, ok... THATS WHY you don't stand up for yourself. Because your first inclination to thinking for yourself is to spit" He keeps his gaze fixed upon the Hobbs.

 

[Rhun]

Isóriand watches Theopolis. Perhaps his companion could distract the hobgoblins long enough for the wood elf to break his bonds...it would be futile to do it while they were watching. In his current condition, Isóriand knew he wouldn't be able to overcome the two brutes; even with surprise his chance was extremely slim. Still, it would be better than whatever grim fate awaited at the hands of Morgav.

 

[Sphyh]

Theopholis continues his taunt. "And why should you think for yourself? I mean, can you even understand me? Or am I speaking a language you can't understand?" Theopholis gives a slight quick glance in Isoraind's direction. Pfft.... your no better than the debris that litters the floor."

 

[Giant Boy]

Lyryc watches carefully as Theopholis continuese to taunt the hobbos and will attempt to wake Ragg out of unconsciousness while the hobbos are distracted.

OOC: I need to know what type of check I will be needing to make.

Lyryc Actually Uses His Surrooundings

OOC: You know it took me a while to suddenly realise that I can untie myself with the debris...I learned to actualy comprehend the surroundings of my character.

Oh my gosh! Look there are giant vermin over behind you! They are going to eat us all! Help hobbos, they are going to eat you! I can see it down the corridor! None of us will stand a chance! Only you hobbos can kill them!


While the hobbos are distacted Lyryc is going to grab a a piece of rusted iron and untie himself.

Oh my gosh! Look there are giant vermin over behind you! They are going to eat us all! Help hobbos, they are going to eat you! I can see it down the corridor! None of us will stand a chance! Only you hobbos can kill them!

The hobbos look worriedly at each other, then at Lyryc, then behind them back down the corridor that Oswald vanished into.

"Keep an eye on them," one of them growls. It draws its sword and heads out of the room.

The other doesn't follow instructions well. Most of its attention is focused on the hallway rather than the prisoners. Lyryc feels about on the floor behind and beneath him. His bound hands close on a ragged bit of metal that might just be sharp enough to cut rope.

Surely Lyryc's ruse won't work for long. If anyone's going to act suddenly, time is short.

As the hobgoblin's turn to look behind them, Isóriand flexes his muscles and attempts to break the bonds holding his hands.

Once he sees both the hobbos distracted Theopholis stands up (he is already sitting up with his feet of the table) and squats down Indian style on the floor as quietly as he can. He begins to feel for a piece of iron on the floor to cut through his bonds.
