[3.5] The Storm Coast

Treachery! (Round 4)

(NOW!) echoes in Theopholis' head as he sees that the monk has shifted his attention to the old wizard and seeing how the elf landed a solid blow. His adrenaline pumping he has another go with the greatsword, but to no avail. The agile monk intercepts the blade with his halberd's haft, sliding Theopholis's weapon harmless away from him.

Oswald sidesteps a bit, and then lashes out again with his deadly polearm. Theophilus parries a powerful, sweeping strike, but is caught off guard by Oswald's deft riposte with the halberd's haft.

Not quick or as graceful as the other warriors, Ragg does manage to pose enough of a threat to keep his enemies attention. Holding his staff before him he shakes it at the ruffian, "Surrender rogue don't make me have to club you," he says.

Oswald's response is a single syllable: "Ha!"

Isóriand continues to harry the warrior-monk with his blade, but a combination of poor positioning and the sickness of the gas keeps the elven warrior from scoring a hit.

Lyryc continues his song, instilling courage in his comrades.

Treachery! (Round 5)

"Hmrph! Everyone hear that? Someone is coming this rogue may not be alone," Ragg says.

Lyryc's dulcet tones continue to fill the hearts of his comrades with courage: Lalalalalalaalalalalalalalalaaaaaaaaaaaa!

The northern door bangs up, and two hobbos rush into the chamber, weapons and shields at the ready. One of the hobbos ends his charge just inside the room, but the other rushes madly at Isóriand. The monster's sword rings mightily across Isóriand's helmet, blurring his vision and causing his knees to wobble weakly!

Theopholis is beginning to feel effects of the blows he has been taken. Determined as ever he brings his sword around again, but even with Oswald caught between Theophilus and Isóriand, the warrior's attack proves unable to catch the nimble monk.

"Are you sure you know how to use that sword?" Oswald says to Theophilus.

His halberd lashes out again, this time darting toward Ragg. The blade slips past Ragg's guard and slices into the old wizard's shoulder. The monk twists, slamming the haft into Theophilus's chest.

Keeping the staff between him and his enemy, Ragg shifts over a bit. The old wizard gestures to the nearby door. "Need to relearn that darn hold portal spell again, blasted lich." he mumbles to himself.

Isóriand shakes the swarming spots out of his eyes and steps into Ragg's spot, across from Theopolis and flanking their foe. This time, his sword strikes Oswald, but the elf has little strength behind the blow.

Ragg swings his staff wildly in front of him as he backs away from the evil monk. The cut in his shoulder hurts badly and the old man hasn't felt this close to death's door in a long long time.

"STOP SINGING AND START FIGHTING!" Theopholis yells in obvious frustration and pain

The battle is not fairing well... Theopholis grits his teeth and puts everything into his swing against the taunting monk. He lands a solid blow. "Your blood testifies to my skill monk."
