The Jade Frontier, part 2 (DM: THB, Judge: Lord Sessadore)

Once again, Brenwar caves in a goblinoid skull. At seeing his ally fall, the masked hobgoblin barks something in what you assume is Goblin before moving farther back into the room. He reaches down and flips over the table, clearly hoping to shield himself from ranged attacks. The smaller goblin at the door also careful retreats into the room.

The goblin archers unleash another salvo. Firete takes another hit and is beginning to feel the weight of her wounds, but the other shots go wide.

[sblock=Status]Initiative:
Yishim (22/22)
Firete (14/28, bloodied)
Cheysuli (22/31+3, concealed, +2 to defenses)
Brenwar (30/35+2, +2 to saving throws, +1 to defenses)
Miranna (25/35)
Torturer (-18)
Grunt 64 (-60, dead)
Warrior 57 (-8, Divine Challenged)
Sharpshooter 31
Sharpshooter 57
Sharpshooter 58 (-9)

Just in case there's any confusion, there are two ways Firete can grant temp hp. Her at-will War Song Strike grants 2 thp to anyone who hits the target, and her Virtue of Valor once per round gives an ally w/in 5 squares who bloodies/kills an enemy 3 thp. Delightfully, both Chey and Brenwar triggered both of these (poor Grunt 64). I'm going to give the 1 extra thp to Chey, as she's more hurt.

The Torturer moves to -G,0 and kicks over the table, causing it to grant cover.

Warrior 57 shifts to -D,-1 and moves to -E,-2.

Pew-pew goblins! You'd think with a +9 to hit, they'd do a little better than this. Miranna is missed with a nat 1, Firete is hit for 6 damage, and Chey is missed with a slightly more respectable 5.[/sblock]

Oh ok, the two different sources confused me. My mistake, so are we charging in? I have a couple new abilities that mark large number of enemies in a close burst 3 I'd like to try.

Miranna stepped forward into the room, moving carefully to avoid the goblin warrior's spears. She stepped around the table, sparing a glare for the torturer, then lashed out at the warrior. Lightning arced along the blade of her sword as she swung, and this time there was a rumble of thunder to accompany it...

OOC:
>Move: (-C,-1),(-D,0)(-E,0)(-E,-1) to approach Warrior 57 without drawing AoO
>Minor: Aegis torturer
>Standard: Attack Warrior 57 with Booming Blade, +10 vs. AC (includes +1 bonus from Oncoming Storm feat)= 16 (probably a miss, but if it hits 12 damage); roll Roll Lookup

As the grunt's inert body falls heavily on the floor from Brenwar's blow, The whirlwind of leaves that surround her spin more furiously and Cheysuli's form becomes one with it. In a quick burst of speed, the twister winds it's way to the front line before dissipating. Leaving The spritely warlock with her rod outstretched before her, and a mischievous smile on her face.

She denounces the goblin nearest to her as a foul spawn of unnatural birth, then reaches into it's mind and attempts to wrench her presence from it's vision. Without waiting to discover if her attack was successful or not, the tiefling runs past the grinskin diving around the corner looking for some form of cover.

[sblock=OOC]Chey is running round the corner past the warrior (provoking if it can see her), could I get a map update as if seen from -E,-3 before i finish my move please.

Don't worry guys, Chey has a couple of potions, so can afford to be a little forward, she can always teleport back behind the line when the warrior goes down if she needs to.[/sblock]
[sblock=Actions]Free - Misty step to -C,-1 when Grunt 64 goes down.
Minor - Curse Warrior 57
Standard - :ranged: Eyebite vs. Warrior 57; 1d20+6+1(PS) = 13 vs. Will, 1d6+5 = 11 psychic damage + 1d8 = 5 curse damage and chey is invisible to the target until the start of her next turn.
Move - Moving round the corner at -E,-3, need to finish move provoking OA from warrior 57 if eyebite didn't hit (with +2 to defences still).

Brenwar moves into the room carefully avoiding the blade pointing at him. He gives a quick swing at the opposing warrior in the hopes of catching it off balance.

[sblock= Movement] Miranna is already in (-E,-1), so Brenwar should end up in a different square. While we can move past allies, I don't think we can share a space. [/sblock]

//doh I know that just wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was. I'll go fix it now.

[sblock=OOC] Too bad I can't use the Virtue of Valour on myself, I need it the most. I don't have my sheet with me now, but likely I will use my Second Wind to get healing back and then move to -C-, -1 and cast Fast Friends on myself so I can't be hurt this turn, if I can do that as I forget if it's a Standard or Minor action and even if it possible. I'll confirm it when I get home.[/sblock]
