Turn the tables a bit (and I'll keep this safe for Eric's grandma). What if male characters in D&D didn't have male parts? How would you feel?

I've never seen a game that isn't FATAL in which the male characters' bits were ever shown or made explicit. In fact, the only bits that are ever made explicit are breasts.

If you need breasts to go "Oh wait that doesn't have male genetalia," then the issue isn't with the game.

Regarding breasts on non-mammalian fantasy races, James Cameron's comment on the topic is the top story on Digg right now. It pretty much sums up my thoughts on this whole issue, as well.
I think both parts of his statement are important: Avatar is for humans, and Avatar is a movie. D&D is a game. For me, it need not be a simulation or a theory. Its biology, like its economics, may be unrealistic, but it exists in service to the gameplay. YMMV, of course.

Hehe, when you think how freely D&D violates most any other science, even those were handwaving it with "It's magic" still makes no sense, this insistence on biological correctness (and I am not talking just about boobs here) is downright weird.

So its all up to opinion? Or did you want to lead either way here?

It is not only weird, it also makes talking about D&D for me somewhat difficult. People who know that i´m on messageboards a lot are sometimes asking me "well, what is the D&D community discussing right now?" What do you answer to that one?

Anyway, my take here is the Mass Effect approach: i like boobs on my non-human creatures who do not need them biologically if there is a chance for hot mindsex....

... did i just write that?

I'm wondering what the heroic and paragon minotaur feats look like. I'd also like to know what the Skill Power feat does - are there restrictions on it?

Has somebody here got an account on RPGnet to pass on the queries? :)
