Welcome to the big day!

Okay, so Eryiedes will be hosting the maptools server so pm him for the password to connect to the server and the chat will be hosted by myself so as to not bog down Eryiedes computer.

Please disable your cams before you log in to my chat session as we will not be watching each other but using it in the background as voicechat only. Simply click on the following link and wait patiently for me to notice and invite you into the session. I will set up the chat session at about 3pm est and will check it every few minutes to invite in party members. I am sorry, but no lurking!

Join me in a live video chat on TokBox!

Hope everyone is prepared with drinks, snacks, and lots of patience. See you then!

Jim

Were you guys already all filled up or is there room for one more?

I will let you know at 10pm est.
We have 4 players but one of them may have withdrawn and not told anyone....we will know more after tonight.
Thank you for your interest.
Even if this game remains filled....I am running a d20 saga edition Star Wars thread as well that still has 2 vacancies left.
As for the rest of the party.....maptools server will be up in 1 hour or less.

Peace & Light

I've never played d20 Saga ed SW before and I don't have any of the materials : (

But I've been interested in learning, but I'd understand if you would want a supreme Saga ed. newb in the game.

We may have a position open in the party afterall.
One of players has been absent for two sessions.
The first was not his fault....I'm am sure the second wasn't either but if he fails to show a third time or remains out of contact, we will undoubtedly need a fourth player.

First off;

Would you be comfortable using an exisitng eladrin rogue PC or would you prefer to create your own character?
I would prefer to keep the original players for the sake of the consistancy of the narrative.
You can post your reply or any questions in this thread.
Make sure to check the game thread before answering to get an idea of the game play and approximate interaction.
Maptools is used for all rolling, mapping and written dialogue purposes.
Tokbox is used simultaneously for ingame audio conferencing as well.
We meet online once a week on fridays at 4pm till 9pm eastern standard time in north america.
We play for 2 hrs...then a 10 minute intermission....followed by a 2hr follow up.....or approximately 2 combat encounters per session.
At this rate we should finish a module in about 2 1/2 monthes give or take with an entire module series (or one Tier) taking place per year.
At this rate....theoretically at least...the H's, D's and G series will be completed by middle 2013 !!!
Will it ever be completed....probably not....but we are gonna have a lotta fun while it lasts!

I will be back in thread tommorrow around 2pm est....on a side note....great session guys....be sure to check the game thread for updates....tonights session has been posted.

Peace & Light (and Avandra looks hot in a thong!)

Once more...Great session yeasterday guys!
I think I am no longer worried about the challenge level of the encounters.
I WILL however take Z's word to heart and creatures will now have separate INI counts to avoid the "gangbang" mechanic that nearly cut the life expectancy of our half orc barbarian signifigantly.
(And to think I thought I wouldn't get to use "fearless rescue" daily power for a module or two with a tank like him around!)
Please be sure to visit the gaming page and include your post combat comments, observations or actions.
After expansive narratives, they become your opportunity to change the direction of storyline should you envision a different outlook for your hero than the apparent "scripted" storyline.
I hope you all enjoy the flavor and progress thus far.
We have a GOOD bunch of players and I hope you all remain with us for a LONG time.
It will be interesting to see just how far we can take our characters to completion!
Good eclectic mix of player races and tactically approriate class selection.
It will undoubtedly overshadow the stroylines of any module series they should find themselves in.
I am impressed....didn't think an online game would be this much fun....I still miss local games but I no longer feel that by playing online, that I am missing local game enjoyability.
I will be here or the other thread....most likely posting for Taren today in SW Saga thread.
May have maptools server up after 9pm est...depends on how far I get reconstructing Saga background stories.
Take it easy adventurers!

Peace & Light (and Pressing Strike is now the official game "power"!)

For what it is worth Eryiedes, you should not need to do an individual initiative for every single combatant. I only do that for smaller encounters in my own games (lets say for 6 or less combatants, circumstances permitting). For larger groups, I would break up the monsters into tactical groups (If I have 5 soldiers and 10 minions, I might do 2 minions + 1 soldier per tactical group).

We should also figure out how to get that initiative window to work. I am not sure why it did not seem to want to co-operate.

Also, I think that we may want to look into a way to create customized status markers. Many of the 4th edition conditions do exist already, but they exist as separate markers which makes them a bit more annoying to manage.

All in all, it was a fun game. Mardok getting dropped temporarily is hardly a shocker to me. Mardok may be one hell of a scary combatant, but he does not have the most overwhelming AC and his HP is not the highest possible either. The next feat I take should fix that a bit though.
