3.5 Character Creation software

after getting spoiled to 4e char creator, I wnat o drop back and play some 3.5. Is there any good character creation software out there ???

I remember DM Genie as always being pretty good, I'd be inclined to look there first.

There were also a number of Excel spreadsheets around with autocalculating stuff to help with chargen.

As you're a community supporter, I recommend a search in the 'software forum', which is where I'll move this thread.
 




Interesting that the PCGen folks remain so silent. :hmm:

PCGen is actually a good piece of software, but it comes with two "buts":

- The user interface takes some getting used to. Some people are turned off by it because it makes no effort whatsoever to look even remotely game-like.

- PCGen comes with OGL data only. If you want to use other books especially books from Wotc, like the "Complete" series, you'll have to put some effort in learning how to code LST-files and invest a lot of work in actually coding the stuff. The community is very helpful in teaching you how to do things but takes care not to tread on anyone's toes. Asking questions like "How do I do the Headbanger prestige class" will give you a polite rebuttal and the request to rephrase your question without any incriminating words.;)
