Help! I need info about several D&D deities & Demon Lords.

I'm not familiar with the 1e MM2 book. I'm assuming it has quite a bit of info about demon lords and various deities since I keep seeing it's name popping up as a reference when I began this project. If you think it would help me with my reference sheet, I would love a copy of it. But I wouldn't want you to give it away if it won't be of much use to me.

At least let me reimburse you for the shipping. Or I could give you a discount code if you ever choose to buy anything from my website.

I have no idea how useful it would be, I haven't looked through a copy in 20 years. Let me take a look and see if I can locate an extra and if so we can figure things out from there.

3. These Deities all live on the Outlands.

Erik
Ruornil
Sera

Does anyone know what ring of the Outlands they live in? Or what landmark on the Outlands their realm is close to?

I can give you their domain names; more details aren't available in the printed material for Birthright (from where they originate).
Erik: Nature's Rest
Ruornil: The Silver Lands
Sera: The Marketplace Eternal

4. Do these deities appear in any 3rd edition book or magazine? If not, do you know what D&D book they did appear in?

Anduiras (dead)
Basaia (dead)
Brenna (dead)
Maseia (dead)
Reynir (dead)
Vorynn (dead)

They're all from the 2E Birthright Campaign Setting, where they've been dead for 1500 years.

Not so much really. It has very very little flavor text, as was par for the course at the time. It gets referenced a lot because it's the first source for a lot of things, though it doesn't really go into the detail that later books did through the years.

I'll look through my PS books tomorrow, but FR books are nearby.

Hoar (Gehenna)
Powers and Pantheons (p.28) lists Hoar as having a domain (Doomcourt) in Mechanus.

Talos (Carceri)
Faiths & Avatars (p.155) has Talos in Pandemonium (Pandesmos/Towers of Ruin), much more appropriate for a god of storms and destruction.

Cyric (Gray Waste)
Gah, no. Cyric is in Pandemonium, Cocytus/Shattered Castle.

Re: the Outlands, here's a quote from Planescape CS:

The realms of the Outlands lie mostly along the outer edges of the plane, close to portals that lead to the Great Ring.

Gond's domain is Wonderhome, which should be adjacent to Oghma's library in Tir'na''Og.

Marketplace Eternal, which she shares with three other gods: Shinare, Zilchus, and Sera.

Powers and Pantheons (p.28) lists Hoar as having a domain (Doomcourt) in Mechanus.
Hmm, 3e Faiths & Pantheons (p. 97) lists Hoar as living in The Barrens of Doom & Despair. I thought that was in Gehenna. Am I wrong? Or if not, does anyone know what layer that realm is on?

Faiths & Avatars (p.155) has Talos in Pandemonium (Pandesmos/Towers of Ruin), much more appropriate for a god of storms and destruction.
Yeah, I have that listed as one of his realms. But Faiths & Pantheons (p. 68) also lists him as living in Fury's Heart, and unless I'm mistaken, I thought that was on Carceri. Again, am I wrong? And if not, anyone know what layer that realm is on in Carceri?

I also have that listed as one of his realms. But Faiths & Pantheons (p. 20) also lists him as living in The Supreme Throne which I thought was The Gray Waste.

I wasn't familiar with these "Home Planes" that Faiths & Pantheons gave. I don't remember what source I used to determine the actual plane. So if anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, that would be helpful.

Erik: Nature's Rest
Ruornil: The Silver Lands
Sera: The Marketplace Eternal

Marketplace Eternal, which she shares with three other gods: Shinare, Zilchus, and Sera.
I wasn't sure what ring or landmark these realms could be in/near. Even a ballpark estimate would be fine with me. I edited my first post to include the names of the realms for each Outlands deity in case anyone has seen a reference to what ring it might be in.

3e FR retconned itself out of the Great Wheel with no in-game explanation, and then 4e retconned FRs cosmology yet again. However much/most of the planar stuff connected to FR was in the Great Wheel cosmology, so attempting to keep continuity there is somewhere between a headache and a nightmare. The Barrens of Doom and Despair is a rough analog to the Waste.

And for a brief period when Cyric replaced Myrkul as God of the Dead (before Kelemvor replaced him and Cyric remained as god of strife and murder) he held Myrkul's former domain which was in the Waste. When Kelemvor replaced Cyric for the Death portfolio, Kelemvor took the domain in the Waste and Cyric went to Pandemonium.

Fury's Heart was a 3e FR cosmology "plane" that was an analog of Limbo/Ysgard sort of thing.

I also have that listed as one of his realms. But Faiths & Pantheons (p. 20) also lists him as living in The Supreme Throne which I thought was The Gray Waste.

A lot of the 3e FR cosmology "planes" are just the domains of FR deities turned into planes of their own, same name as their 1e/2e domains oftentimes and the ones that aren't are largely renamed analogs of Great Wheel planes that had been their previously.

As Shemmy noted, Faiths and Pantheons, being a 3.x book, uses the "Great Tree" cosmology, which is not directly connected to the Great Wheel, and the planes listed there do not correspond to the Great Wheel planes.

Mechanus doesn't really have layers. However, I'd personally move Hoar's realm from Mechanus to Acheron (Ochantus).

As for the Outlands, I'don't think any source lists the exact position of those realms. I'd place Marketplace Eternal near the border of Bytopia (seems thematically appropriate).
