[D&D 4e] IG's "Those Left Behind, Chapter 4" [OOC]

HM,

You do realize that O3 is dead, yes? That means you don't have a target in your Moment of Glory blast. Seems like the party should still gain the effects though, but I just wanted to make you aware. That, and you'll take an OA from O1. O'Beth is tough though, he can handle it. ;)

Heh... just realized I posted the above message in the wrong thread. No wonder he didn't answer.

Anyway, returning to THIS game...

So, everyone, with the possible exceptions of Dyspeer and Shazi, is stunned until the end of the BG's next turn. Being stunned, you can't take actions. Since no save is allowed to break the condition, does anyone see anything that should occur before I go ahead and take a second round of actions before the bad guys?

And I promise you, every one of those natural 20's were legit. If I didn't see it for myself, I'd probably never believe it either...

IG, did I get to shift the enemies who crossed the Zone created by Talashia's spell? One reason I used that particular one was because it makes a nice, somewhat hard-to-cross barrier for critters. Basically, any enemy that starts its turn in the zone, or enters it, can be shifted 2sq by the caster.

Also, just to confirm, the pudding tried to engulf two of us, using a single action, from 2 squares away?

...we need more meatshields in this gang.

Also, note that animal companions and familiars don't have the capacity for independent actions...so even if they're not technically stunned, they still can't do anything.

That in mind, yeah...go ahead and take a free turn. If that stun is at-will, we're probably pretty much boned at this point. Stun is a very powerful status effect in 4e.

The engulf is a blast 3.

The moth swarm started in the zone; I assumed you'd want to push it backward two squares, and did so before it advanced (effectively taking its speed from fly 8 to fly 6). The pudding did not start its turn in the zone, since it was pushed out of it before. The power description reads (unless there's an update somewhere that I haven't looked at) that you can only shift a creature that starts its turn in the square--doesn't say anything about those that enter it.

Shai has a daily power that's an immediate interrupt triggered by his being bloodied. I'm copying this off the power card in case I don't fully understand, but I *think* this means Dys can still attack during the monsters' turn? Since they're all attacking on the same initiative number, I think I can choose which one he attacks?:

Bloodied Frenzy

Immediate Reaction
Range: Melee beast 1
Attack 15 vs. AC
Target: The triggering enemy
Trigger: An enemy bloodies you or your beast companion
Effect: Before the attack, your beast companion can shift 5 squares
Attack: Beast's attack bonus vs. AC
Hit: 2 + beast's Str modifier (+3) damage, and the target is immobilized (save ends)
Miss: Half damage

Unarmed: +15 attack, 2d8+3 damage

The question I have is the range. I'm not sure if Dyspeer has to be adjacent to the target before the attack, or just after the 5 square shift. I think I'm going to let you go ahead and do it anyway--but the card does say that the attack is vs. the triggering enemy (that being the one that bloodied you), which in this case is Moth Swarm 1. True, they all attacked on the same initiative, but there was a specific order. Remember that he'll have to move through the aura and get to the nucleus of the swarm to attack it.

Nope.

We're stunned. That means NO actions. No minors, no moves, no standards, and no interrupts. We don't even get free actions.

This is why stuns are so devastating.
