Demonomicon, ToH, Orcs of Stonefang Pass and Vor Rukoth in hand

Yes, yes, I am on it.. patience my friend ;)

Indeed I have..

To the east and south lies the Midnight Sea (Vor Rukoth is next to it, actually)
To the north lies the Horned Hills
To the west lies the Skull Fields
To the northwest lies the Dawnforge Mountains and Hammerfast.
The Trade Road leads from Hammerfast to Vor Rukoth

Hope it helps

Now that's ... just... Awesome!
I'm assuming they don't have a map for this, but this description fills in a big area to the east of the Nentir Vale. Thank you! This product has moved up to must buy after Orcs of Stonefang Pass.

No map, sorry. Just the bits I wrote. Well, there is a bit more info in there, about some of the places mentioned, but just a couple of lines.

If I had a dollar for every time I have read that.. ;)

same here..

Jack's avatars should be banned, AND, i had placed this Vor Rukoth to must buy.

Why can we have a protuct like this Vor Rukoth to Wizz Settings ? I would love somehing like this to Eberron !

Orcs of Stonefang Pass

An adventure for 5th level. A group of dwarves returning to ancestral home only to find it occupied by orcs. The dwarves take a sound beating and are sent packing for the hills where they beg the players for help. The players travel to the Stonefang Pass, only to find out that the orcs are not the worst thing stirring in. Stonefang, an ancient titan, is awakening because the enchantments with which to dwarves originally bound him, using pieces of himself, are fading.

I am a bit torn about Stonefang Pass. On one hand, there are some interesting combats, but quite a few of them seem a bit dull, and overall, the adventure is far too linear for my tastes. I also found monsters like the archerfish which throws water bullets at the players a bit (a lot actually) too silly. On the other hand, it’s has a very good background story (I left out a lot of details above), and perhaps the ballsiest boss encounter seen in 4e. A 16th level solo with a twist, obviously!!! For those two (background + final fight), I am glad I bought it. With that said, I am a bit disappointed with the rest of the adventure.

Banned? They should be mandatory!

:D

If you want to use Vor Rukoth for Eberron, try this: replace all mentions of "dragonborn" and "tiefling" to "hobgoblin" and all mentions of "devil" to "aberrations". Presto, you have a set of ruins from the Dhakaani empire.

I got a similar impression from a quick flip through. This is interesting because I was talking about it with a buddy yesterday and we were comparing it to Slaying Stone (same designer). I don't own SS but my friend says that it is designed very differently from Stonefang.
I can't compare the two ( I want to play in the first one) so I wonder why the huge difference in design style?

Can anyone explain why there would be such a major difference?

You do realise that those are based on a real world creature right?

Linky

I think it's funny. I remember in a screen writing class I took I had to actually change one of my characters because no one thought she felt "real..." She was based entirely off of a real person I saw at the store though.

Sometimes life is just too weird to exist in fiction! :D

These exact circumstances happened to me in a playwriting class in college.
