The parts in Asgard somehow remind me of Chronicles of Riddick. A colourful version. I think it's a mistake showing Asgard at all. Although, then the movie might be too much like Superman. I don't know, I have really mixed feelings about this.

I felt similarly. Asgard just seems to glitzy, perhaps to contrast it with a gritty Earth portrayal.

Like Iron Man 2, there are like 3 separate movies going on there. As long as the movie about Thor becoming worthy of his power is well executed, the rest of it will probably work out fine.

But Marvel needs to either stick to 1 or 2 plots or start releasing 3 hour movies.

Red. As in, firey tempered redhead. He's probably where the idea came from in the first place. Oh yeah, his hammer is made of gold. And its a warhammer, not a bloody sledgehammer! The girdle and gloves of strength in AD&D are stolen from him too. And he wears armor. They got just about everything wrong, and premiered the character at the time I was reading about the Norse Gods, so blah...

Um.. Marvel's Thor isn't about Mythology it's about a myth inspired Super Hero. After all, in the preview he even said he's from a land where "Magic and technology are the same thing". Hense why his vinyl armor can stop bullets.

Yep, Jack Kirby created Thor alongside Stan Lee.

Warhammers do come in many shapes and sizes, but Thor's was one-handed, and a throwing hammer. A magical returning throwing hammer. It's actually pretty hard to find a red-haired picture of him. Even most classical artists draw him with yellow hair for some odd reason. But there is this from Das Rheingold, as Donner (Thunder):

Edit: I just noticed that that is the same picture they've used in the Glories of North adds that are running on EN World right now.
