That's alright.

If there are problems, I have a dozen ways to fix it. So no worries.

Friends, Romans, Interneters, lend me your bandwidth!

I present to you, orator from lands afar, Stroland Deeppitch!

Stroland Deeppitch

Pep talks and morale boosters abound with this beaming beacon of charisma!

(I'd like to throw my hat into this too, if I may.)

Glad to see you post!

Check out my homebrew rules in the main post. I did some skill consolidation. You also get 4 skill points to flesh out your background.

Otherwise it looks good. Yeah, we be evil here.

About me constructing necro-stuff, there are some rules I know from other version of d20 that might come in handy. I have played some time ago, Warcraft RPG d20 and there are Tinkers(Goblins!) with big system of inventing and tinking. In short, your level+1+feats makes a border of how potent creations you can create and is know as technology level. There is also a complexity score, which relays how much stuff you have inside your creation and such...later it is multipled by few factors and you have a market price. You need 1/3 of that price in materials and you work in silver/day or in gold/week. Few rolls and voila!
If you would be interested I can PM you parts about this system.

Count me as interested, so long as it's not too complicated and you do all the hard work with the math and stuff. :D

EDIT: I also found some 3.5 sources. Check out Heroes of Battle if you have it. p63 talks about how to craft, operate, and move all sorts of siege engines. Take the gold cost found there and use the craft method from PHB p70 and voila!

No xp cost for building stuff for the army.

Also about creating stuff. Does creating costs XP in your setting? Sorry for this noobish question but DM with whom I have played allowed me and other players to create magical items and such without XP but with higher gold cost. Litteraly we had to pay additional resources equal to five times the XP required, so it was 5gp for 1XP.
But I'm ready for a change;)
I dunno yet. You certainly won't be charged XP if you're building things for the army. Personal stuff, I dunno, I may give an alternative. I'll get back to you on it.

Hit points: 28 (i think 10+ 6*3?)

Max first level, then average each other level. I dunno the dice you roll off the top of my head, but if it's 6d6 the average is 6*3.5 not 6*3.

Speed: 30 feet

Armor Class: 17 = 10 +1 [buckler] +6 [dexterity]
It's 40feet and you also get +1 natural armor bonus for catfolk.

Rest looks good from a glance. Just gotta spend your wealth now.

Yes, I'm thinking about Sacrifice rules from BoVD. And Wish can be done once only and DC is 40. Otherwise You could sacrifice sentient living being's soul to dark powahs for "baubles" like Limited Wish ( DC 30) once per day. DM, the bonus skill I would spent on Profession (Bookworm) so my quasit could spew nonsense from time to time with serious face.

Know(Rel) +8, Dagger +10, Tortures ... +4, Still not big but once I push it past +20 with extra things I believe it's doable with taking 10.

Sounds good.

Haha, I found your GitP advice thread when looking for info on what a dragonborn goliath would keep(I know he keeps attribute modifiers and powerful build, I just dunno if that's the full extent). I hope it wasn't looking like I was hiding stuff, I was figuring it out myself as I was asking questions.

Working on the sheet now.

Also, while you're likely one of the strongest necromancers in the invading force, there will be other necromancer adepts that you could possibly train to aid you in your work.

By Abbys, because of You, the poor girl's ego will sky rocket...have it your way! Now...I have to wait till I can get craft magical weapon and armour so I can make a cursed ice-element sword and full plate with chill enchancements for her...:D

Now, I have been looking at what clips and dresses I might buy for girl. I know she cant yet create undead in normal manner, only via summon undead, magic items and rebuke undead, but the late would require to find undead one first. As You state, she's the top necromancer and main supplier of undeath in the army. So, to make her able to actively bolster army with her services, I think I would have to:
-Get Undead Leadership Feat from Libris Mortis(well, she would need 6th lvl so this option is closed I think, as this is the only pre-req she doesnt met, :.-()
-Have a item with animate dead, a rod or similar object with continous effect, being capable of casting it once per day would cost 10,080 gp. Is there any other way to lover this price? Meyby, item only she can use or it has to be used as a ritual(no combat)? Why not get charged item? I personally dont like em, as finally they run out...and I like to buy solid stuff ;) but if there wouldnt be any other option I will have to buy it, I think.
-I might also start the game with few undead, granted me by "state" or her daddy would send her with some...entourage ;)

Going back to creating stuff. I like what I found in Heroes of Battle and I think we can go along with those rules. Less headache, more simplicity...till I would like to do something more complex then a simple siege engine. But I was suggested to take a feat, Create Construct. I think it will solve my problem...somewhere in future,as I wont be able to get this feat too fast...
Also a Undead Graft feat sounds cool too.
Hmm, I think I should now stick to what I have for now. Let's just say I will use Necrotech to stich up some siege engines, do some saper work...meyby some traps amd fortifications, till I have some feats and higher lvl.

To be honest, it's my first necromancer I ever made, so for now I read in utter darkness ;)

Edit: I just had a few thoughts, does undead as fallowers from Leadership counts as those I can control? 4 HD per lvl? Or do they come from Leadership alone and doesnt count?
If amount of undead from Leadership, controllable HD and summon undead would not overlap...oh my, I have a army xD

Undead Leadership works like Leadership but for undead followers/cohorts only. Being one of strongest necromancers in the army means that there are more powerful ones that aren't forced to such menial service. ;)

DM, do I properly guess that all shapeshifting things are only natural-shifters ? I would like to improve these aspects of my boy with progress, if possible. By means of special abilities, of course. :)

Are you sure you found the right thread? I didn't ask about that at all.

If you're curious though, it's here.

Like I said, it just scared me when you threw everything together on a class that I knew nothing about so I panicked a bit. Sorry about that.

If there's need for a "fix," either other players will be finding more shinies than you to balance it out, or everything will taste purple and powerful build will no longer apply to natural attacks. Very easy.

That's pretty cool!

making undead snip

I would prefer that nobody takes Leadership feats. They're there simply to ramp the power level, and I'm a lazy DM that doesn't want to go back and drastically revamp all my encounters to compensate.

Animate Undead is, of course, absolutely fine and expected. It's the point of the class.

Don't worry about building an undead army yet. You're spending a lot of time first being standard adventurers. You (might) have weeks in the future to start building in earnest. Gilt still has a sizeable standing army already that's ready to crush silly mortals. Also, you're the strongest necromancer like I said, but there's still crappy NPC necromancers that do the animating schtick 247 as their job.

Here's another link for you.

Yeah, you can definitely repair things with the skill. Building stuff I think requires a skill check plus feat. I'm pretty knew at this too though, but we'll figure it out.

Natural shifters still get it, yeah. I'm not taking the dire rabbit ability. My rule is there to ban it from normal classes due to obvious brokeness.

Could you elaborate on the improving thing?

Could you elaborate on the improving thing?

Of course. I would like to increase my quasit's transformative ability to something more like what Succubus have. To take on Humanoid Shapes up to Medium size. And ... perhaps Vermin and Animals ? With this, Skoll would became extremely annoying. How I would refer to this stuff ?
DM, there is spell-group in Pathfinder that might help here polymorphing

Basically I believe that shapeshifting don't give You anything except change in appearance and perhaps change in physical stats due to size change. mode of movement and basic attacks could change, too. But if You transform into troll, You won't get Rend, wich is instinctive ability and You aren't having troll instincts nor Your cut face will regenerate, You aren't troll but just look like one, so please continue bleeding to death.

Also I believe that shapeshifting shouldn't affect equipment not prepared for this. Thus if Skoll transforms into Small being his loincloth will get ... uncomfortable. Very. If Skoll would get spell Giant Size ... he'll be in a lot of pain and most likely will ruin his equipment and all that. On the bright side, he'll look down Balor until greater demon decides it's time for Dispell and stomping quasits.

As for how to improve Skoll's natural abilities I'm thinking about using Feats for minor improvements and Special Ability for major change.

Examples:
Feat:
Improved Magic Sight, quasit acquiring this feat loses Detect Magic SLA and gains Arcane Sight SLA.
Improved Shapeshifting, quasit can change features of his shapechanged form like Alter Self spell.

Special Ability:
Moonstruck, You gain lycantrophe template traits. (BTW I believe that lycantrophes shouldn't combine Class and Animal Form HD, just add template to Class Levels).

* Lifedrinker (Su) Whenever the balor lord slays a living foe, it receives the benefits of a heal spell (CL 20th). This ability can activate up to once per round.

* Master of Magic (Su) The balor lord has additional spell-like abilities (20 spell levels' worth of 1st–4th level spells usable at will and 20 spell levels' worth of 5th–8th level spells usable 3 times a day).

* Soul Swallow (Su) As a standard action, the balor lord can inhale the soul of a living creature within 30 feet. The target must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + 1/2 balor lord's racial HD + the balor lord's Charisma modifier) or die. The body of a humanoid creature killed in this manner immediately transforms into a demon under the balor lord's command (a babau, succubus, or shadow demon, according to the balor lord's whim).

Those abilities in red are just examples of what ECL 35 Balor might do if given into Player's hands. My quasit's special abilities would be something more ... moderate. Unless we reach Epic levels, that is. By this time Chandra would most likely became god-level fiend. Just like Skoll plans ...

Like Regeneration (You gain regeneration equal to Your fast healing score, bypassable by things that bypass Your DR) or Supreme Damage Reduction (Your DR is equal to HD rounded down to the nearest 5 and is bypassable by Cold Iron & Good & Lawful or Carrot) for example.

Fellow players, don't be afraid since rules for advancement I provided DM with would allow my pest to became something around Vrock power level at 20 ECL, not Balor. :)

Oh, I know you didn't ask about that specifically. However, google just saw the phrase 'Goliath Dragonborn Mineral Warrior' and showed me your thread. :p

Quick question: HP of average, is that the 'fixed HP' as in the DMG? The alternating bit? I'm almost done aside from XP recording, HP stuff and gear.

Oh, no Leadership? Buh, Esme will get minions one way or another anyways ;)

Ok, did some changes to character sheet, and only thing left is eq. DM, as I cant yet cast animate dead, I understand I dont have any "friends" around? OR meyby there were some unintelligent undead in the army, who Esme could take control over?

Rules over siege engines from Heroes of ABttle state that a siege engineer without a minimum crew has construction time enlarged. What happens in case I have more then minimum workers? How about halving time for every doubling of work force?
