What sort of tokens does it have? Do they overlap with the ones in the Monster Vault? I don't need more of those.

Without being specific, yes many do overlap, BUT:

1. I sometimes do WANT 18 goblins.
2. The DM Kit includes a whole page of PC (or NPC) tokens that are definitely not in MV.
3. DM Kit has a couple useful warhorses
