Well thats the issue. It's stuff we recorded in my home studio. Mods a little help here with the mp3s and such. Suggestions?

Excellent. In that case, the example above was something I tried putting together to try get across a kind of haunting elvish feel - though I dunno if I succeeded or not (as I'm really only a drummer - and not a 'real' musician ).

And echoing my own post in it, my recent fun playing a 4Ed Dwarven Starlock (who dances around the battlefield like a capoeirist to maintain his defensive bonuses) has made me think I was right about the Dwarves. Percussive instruments of the elements- gongs, steel drums, metallophones...and fire organs & bagpipes for texture- would make Dwarven music truly unique.

Not a bad topic to discuss i think it was really nice but very hard to do.because mostly hip hop songs have lyrics also.

There are hip-hop albums virtually devoid of human voices- it's been called turntablism in some circles.

Kool Keith, recording as Dr. Octagon, released one of his albums in 2 versions: with lyrics and as all instrumental.

Then there are guys like DJ Spooky and DJ Shadow whose work is mostly free of human voices...although they can get kind of spacey. Also check out U.N.K.L.E., a supergroup with Thom Yorke & DJ Shadow, among others.

Then, of course, you get into things like dub and ambient...check out the body of work delivered by guys like the super prolific Bill Laswell and the formidable Jah Wobble.

On a side note a Capoiera dwarf sounds friggin awesome...may encoporate some of that (or not, dont know) into my Duergar or Derro. And gnomish clockwork/electronica ravers? ...by the gods...
