Nearing 100000 members - How did you find En World?

My entry to ENWorld was kind of odd. I had just built my Gamer Printshop website (see SIG), and began posting it to varying RPG forums whereever I could find them. Up to the point of starting my RPG Map POD shop, I never spent anytime online with regard to RPGs - never before.

After getting some initial contacts, I started doing daily Google searches to see who found my website.

One day, linked on Google was a request on ENWorld by Morrus himself wanting to know who the hell I was and what did it cost to outsource the printing of maps! So I followed the link, joined the site, so I could post an answer in Morrus's thread - and voilla, I became a member.

So I consider it odd, I'm here, because Morrus was looking for me...

It was maybe late 1999 or early 2000; definitely before 3E came out. I think it may have been February? I remember Henry's "C'mon August" fondly. There were vague rumors about 3E at the time, and I was on one of the alt.* newsgroups looking for information. I remember Eric posting on them, got the link from him, and I joined the site soon after. Given how low my post count is, it should be no surprise I mostly lurked, though I've been a little more active these days.

I was working at WotC at the time, in the months just before D&D3 came out, but I was working in an office in LA and I found that it was interesting to see the difference between what we were hearing from Seattle and what was being posted here.

I participated in a lot of threads, had a pretty decent post-count, and then the databases got nuked and nuked again and I basically stopped posting until pretty recently.

Resse's Pieces.

"Ooh, a piece of candy!"

I followed a path similar to Klaus and RW, but with more rambling, risk, antisocial tendencies, and leather-clad fangirls with 7' heels on the back of my sweet motorcycle.

No idea why I signed up, I am pretty sure I lurked without an account for a few years before signing up. I am pretty sure I came across the site during the 3.0 to 3.5 transition.
