Here's the question: What is the highest level your PCs in an ongoing campaign have achieved in 4E? Ignore one-shots and mini-campaigns. Just creating your character at 30th level is not quite as impressive as reaching there from 1st level!

I have two ongoing 4E games; both started at the same time, but one has had more interruptions. In one, the group is around 11th level. In the other, they've just started on the Epic tier and are 21st level.

So, what level has your group or your character achieved in an ongoing 4E campaign?

We started my games when 4E came out, and they've been running at once a fortnight with 3-4 hour session... or at least, 1/fortnight is what I'd like. They've been on hiatus for a few months due to Nathaniel being away, and have just started up again.

I'm interested to see the spread of levels attained - the game has been out for two and a half years now.

Cheers!

I'm running a campaign for 5 PCs. We started up in November of last year and they just gained level 6. I don't go with experience points, the first five levels they gained 1 level per session (sessions are every other week) up until level 6 then I changed it to every 2 sessions (1 level per month). I'm hoping to get them up to mid paragon tier in a year's time and then we'll see if I can stretch the campaign up to Epic. We may even move to a weekly session if everyone is in agreement which would give them 2 levels per month if we did that and then I could get them to epic within a year.

my players are currently about half way to level 3, though a probable TPK stands in the future, if the dice keep falling as they have been of late. i think their warlord didnt manage to hit ANYTHING last encounter :o

New dice sound good.

My group need really low rolls at their current exalted levels. The best example of this is Splug, who has a +35 to hit either AC or Reflex at level 21, and that normally means he misses only on a 1. :)

Cheers!

I shiver to even think of the lengths the character went to to achieve that (and please no, dont answer, I really dont want to know!)

We played for about 20 months, from 1st level to 20th, before our DM decided that he "didn't like" Epic. Pity, my character concept really started to kick in at Epic, at which point the Prince of Summer would have been born. After slogging as a Feylock through Heroic, where the party tended to think of him as little more than a walking encyclopedia (and about as useful as a full set of Brittanica in a battle), then Fey/Darklock in Paragon when the damage began to be dished out, Epic was going to be the capper.

So now I've started DMing the same group at 8th, with the final goal being to give them the taste of Epic that they were previously denied.

Honestly, it's not hard.

+10 from Level 21.
+3 for Backstab encounter power (4/encounter, or most of the encounter)
+2 for Combat Advantage (he's an Essentials Thief. He should be always gaining CA).
+8 for Dex 26.
+3 for Weapon Proficiency in Dagger
+3 for Light Blade Expertise (feat)
+5 for +5 weapon.
+1 for Thief Weapon Talent (class ability)

The Basic attack vs Ref or AC comes from the Deft Blade feat (Martial Power 2), and is the only non-essentials part of the build.

Cheers!
