Two in five minutes. And I see a third in the recent posts. Take a week's break.
To clarify and put it more politely this time ;)

What I meant is that Gary helped to create the RPG industry and for that I and I'm sure every gamer everywhere loves the man for that. Where I disagree with probably 99% of the people, if not more, on these boards is that I think everything the man has ever written was garbage, from the Original D&D rules, to the Dangerous Journeys disaster, everything in-between and everything after. I'm sorry, but that's just my opinion, and I thought it was ok to express my opinion on a forum. Granted, I could have done so in a more polite manner, but nothing changes that opinion, even his death...

How about this: :):):):) YOU FVCKING IDIOT PIECE OF SHI+ TROLL ASSJOB! GO HOME!

Edited for additional rudeness.

Folks, Chainsaw has been banned for this post. Please do not reply to it or comment on it. I'm leaving it here as an example of how to get a permaban.

If that us your real opinion, I would begrudgingly respect it, but I have to say that is far different then what you originally posted. What you originally posted was an attack on his moral/ethical character, his personality and an insult but not a critique on his writing or game design skills. (Though technically what you wrote also is not a critique of his writing and design skills but instead an attempt to denigrate them).

However, it should be noted that even if his game design, writing skills and its philosophy are not align with our society's current stance (in terms of "ease of reading", and polish) or your own tastes , you can't deny that his contributions to society and popular culture will be far greater then most of us who are posting in this topic. That in itself is worthy of praise.

RIP Gary. I regret that I never had a chance to meet you or share in a game of yours.

I shall always remember to bring my +1 Mace to defend against monsters in the future.

It indeed is my opinion. Granted I haven't read everything the man wrote, and I never made any conscious attempt to, but what I have read of his work, I dislike. And as stated before I and I'm sure every gamer that ever was or ever will be will love the man for his role in creating the hobby we all love and enjoy.

Also you are right in that the original post was little more than a blatant attack and for that I apologize. Let's just say I was having a very bad day on that particular day. When I am as angry as I was that day, my meds utterly fail to work and what I mean to say and what I actually say are usually about as similar as a starfish is to an Elephant.

Lame. I gave money to this site when it was free, then I get banned for sticking up for the founder of the entire hobby. What's wrong here?
Most forums I visit simply let the profanity filter do it's job, apparently that's not good enough here, you must have no strings of smiley faces in your posts!

Heil! ;)

And with that, I'll call the matter closed, although you are all more than welcome to continue hating me for however long you wish, as your opinions of me have absolutely no meaning to me.
