[Adventure] Kingmaker (DM:renau1g; judge: garyh)

"Why should we tell you? You'll just go there and be all demon-like on our family, probably take my kids and eat them or put them in some evil spell or something." the leader replies.

OOC: Probably best to add some roll if you're attempting to change their attitudes (whether diplomacy or intimidate it's your call)

Ezzy scratches the back of her head.

"I figured we were in the 'leave the kobolds alone and keep mapping' business," she suggests. "They're not in our way, and I hate radishes."

OOC: I just wanted to know if there were more of them. Either we leave them alone or we should try to find their lair (it might be considered part of mapping). But I will let others react

[sblock=Elurin]
You can tell that when you mentioned their tribe they were definitely showing signs of concern, which you'd likely believe that they have some family in the area [/sblock]

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger of Lauto

Amazingly, Faustus plays right along with Elurin's gambit, beaming at the Druid and swiftly tapping a stacatto beat on the ground with his foot when Elurin scratches his back a bit. "I dont know," he whispers back, "I'm not entirely sure that these qualify as the 'monsters' we were tasked with eliminating. They seem pretty harmless to me. As long as you don't transform yourself into a radish, that is." ;)

One of the kobolds appears to grow hungry and begins chewing on one of the radishes, chomping loudly on the vegetable.

So....we've been at this encounter for the better part of three weeks and I just wanted to give it a little bump to help it along, there's currently 3 options that I see.

1) Fight them
2) Leave them be
3) Diplomacy/Intimidate to get more information about their tribe

I don't believe anyone in the group has a decent Cha score, should we look to recruit one to round out the group's skills a bit? [/sblock]

Elurin slows down and leans on his staff to get at head height with the kobolds "We will not take your radishes, but they do look delicious! We are looking for bandits like the ones you say killed your, ah, village. We are also looking for an old stone temple. I am Elurin, Master of the Woods, so I can take any form I want."
OOC: Sorry I missed your March 30 post(http://www.enworld.org/forum/living...maker-dm-renau1g-judge-garyh.html#post5513042) or I would have diplomacized earlier. Poor CHA! - not only do I have a +10 Diplomacy, everyone else in the party looks nicer too! +1 Diplomacy to any allies within 10 squares

Ruarc has little to say to the kobolds . . . he leans on his bow, ready to fight if necessary but content for now to allow those better suited to talking to take the lead.

Faustus, Tiefling Avenger of Lauto

Faustus figures that he has harmed the group's chances enough for now, so he just remains silent. :p
