If a GM messes with my character concept. Not my character, but the concept. Like if I create a Batman/Punisher type guy for a supers game, and during a routine physiological scan, the GM comments about his "enhanced agility, endurance, and strength" without any kind of big reveal or anything, he just throws it out there, and now my characer is a mutant, just because. Now, if my character were unbenownst to himself, a mutant, and there was some kind of payoff, and there was a reason this was important (giant mutant pogrom going into action, or his missing father turns out to be Magneto, or he secretly has slow but powerful regeneration allowing him to not die or something), then I could maybe accept it. But just changing stuff, without my permission, without explanation, arbitrarily and for no reason? No, that's not cool. I don't want to be told my guy is blond because that would be "cooler" or that instead of being created by a vampire who was a Prohbition Mobster he spent the last two decades in the arms of a vampire ex-hippie drug designer etc.etc. If my choices don't negatively impact anybody, why can't i just make the choices I prefer?
