GAME OF THRONES #4:Cripples, Bastards, and Broken Things-ACT 4 Chapter 1-2011

I LOVED the scene with Ned and Arya....When she looked up at him and said: "That's not me." it was perfect.

Overall I think they are still doing an excellent job of compressing the first book down to 10 hours....

I agree mostly. I still think an extra two hours would go a long way toward properly fleshing out the story and the characters.

Episode 5 preview: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKxOe8sspKM]YouTube - Game Of Thrones: Episode 5 Preview (HBO)[/ame]

This was my favourite episode so far. The characters are all starting to come into their own and we're seeing some of the pay-offs from previous episodes and how everything is starting to come together with 'the game'.

I read that the whole 'one book per season' thing was just an internet rumour gone viral and has no actual basis in fact. I guess we'll see.

GRRM has pretty much hinted that this was going to be the way of things.

Not A Blog - Second Season!!!

"HBO RENEWS GAME OF THRONES FOR SECOND SEASON
...

That from HBO.

From me again: I'm thrilled.

Ten more episodes! A CLASH OF KINGS.

Looks like I'll be writing the Battle of the Blackwater. David & Dan give me the easy stuff.

P.S. A late correction. Actually, I don't KNOW how many more episodes. Could be ten. Could be more. Could even be fewer, I suppose, though I don't really think so. Myself, I'd love to see twelve episodes this second time around, since CLASH is a hundred pages longer than GAME. But that's a call for HBO and Dan and David, and I am sure they will let us know once it's made."

The guy playing Viserys is doing an awesome job of making people hate him.

I'm soooooooo looking forward to his demise.:D

While I can't wait for that demise.....I'm dreading the other one...
I wonder if they are gonna introduce the Dothrocki witch women? I'm not sure how things will go without that character but I would have thought they would have brought her in by now...

This was the first episode that was a bit of a disappointment. The tournament in the book was a big deal.

I was hoping to see the Knight of Flowers unseat The Mountain that Rides. Show how good the Knight of Flowers truly is.

The tournament seemed like more of an event with more pomp and grandeur than displayed in the film. Even the event grounds seemed rather underwhelming compared to how they were described in the book.

The plot development was overall accomplished in this episode. They are hitting most of the key points necessary to push the story along.

I imagine they won't get half of the books into the series since the books are so long. So I'm not too unhappy with what they've left out. But I do hope they have more of the tournmanent in the series.

I can't wait to see Bronn next week. He was one of my favorite minor characters.

Gotta put it into perspective; grandeur in the middle-ages ain't what it is today. Having said that, I do feel like they could've done with more of a crowd.

I'm actually a bit underwhelmed by the preview of him; he's absolutely nothing like how I envisioned him. I saw him as being a lot younger, for one thing.
