As a heroclix buyer I stumbled across this....

Be sure to read all of that, like that it's a one-shot deal, and only 4 miniatures. Not really a replacement for DDM, but could be cool. A bit rich for my tastes though.

Oh I know I'm reading into it a bit.

4 pack for 13.00 is a lot in many ways and there is nothing about further packs or creatures.

Due to licenceing I'm sure creature packs would be very limited anyway but it still is an effort for my plastic crack habit. And the figures look very well done (I know... They all do as promo pieces)

While I accept that the price -- to you -- makes it too expensive for your tastes, the price point does NOT "doom" the offering, generally.

I expect the sale of those minis to be rather brisk, actually. We'll see other sets, too.

The minis look nice. The thing is, the WotC Heroes line did not do well at all. Four humanoid minis doesn't seem to entice people all that much. If this is supposed to be a way to test the waters, I don't think the results will be very good.

I'd love to see a new line of minis though.

I'm actually thinking about buying these. They look nice, and I think the Pathfinder iconic heroes are pretty cool.

That said, I have a hard time justifying RPG-related purchases to myself. I used to subscribe to the Pathfinder adventure paths, and I canceled that when I realized that I might never actually use that material for a game.

I like Paizo. They do top-notch work, but ... I'm not buying RPG materials just to collect them.

What is the scale in comparison to my existing DDM miniatures? I bought specific Warcraft minis because they worked for large monsters, but I never bought any humanoid singles.
