What does Remove Curse reveal?

Thanks again!

Maybe I read too much into it, but I thought the quote from the PHB was specifically for sword, shield or armor. I would have no problem with extending the definition to other types of items too though.
The original issue was regarding how a PC would know which item (or event) it is that has cursed him? If Remove Curse suppresses the curse like to the next day, then the PC will have the problem back unless he starts dumping any suspicious item he has gathered the last day(s). (Which may be totally unnecessary in the case the curse is not tied to the possession of an item, but instead due to an event or action done by him or towards him.)
If the PC doesn’t already know, then the spell doesn’t seem to tell him to get rid of the item(?)

If you make out of the book curses, you will have to make out of the book solutions too...If the character is cursed for something he did as a punishment, then he should know (by vision or by other means) what he did and how to repel the curse. You can't punish someone if he doesn't know what he did to deserve it after all...even if you are cursed by an evil god, he will probably leave some clue why.

Now, maybe said god won't send you a message ''you did that, do this to get un-cursed'' but either there are stories about someone who suffered a similar curse, or a prophesy/legend about such a curse.

Why would you make a custom curse after all, if all the PC has to do is to cast a spell to get rid of it, and not a quest?

[FONT=&quot]OK, thanks! I think I can deal with it now. Gotta give some hints. A little paranoia spices thinks up a bit though ;-)
There is a reason the PC is cursed even if I did not describe my players’ situation here (in case they are reading these threads). :-)

I agree with irdeggman... Remove Curse merely suppresses the cursed object's effect long enough for the owner/wielder to remove it from their possession; after which it remains cursed, awaiting its next victim (which could be the same individual who just released it).
