Is that a not-so-subtle hint, Helfdan? ;)

Scotley and I haven't really discussed in detail the idea of converting this game to Pathfinder, but I do seem to recall him saying at one point that he kinda figured that we would eventually make the switch. However, I have some misgivings about that, like what if we reach a point where you guys want to indulge in PrCs? Kerlan has pointed that 3.5 still has a large advantage over Pfndr in that regard. Also, maybe it's the history major in me, but I just kinda like being one of the last holdout games keeping 3.5 alive.

Actually, boss, in this particular case I like the way the campaign runs, and see no need to switch. The only reason would be if there is anything really cool about PF that you guys really want to add. Besides, it's nice to still get to use all those 3.5 books I spent a bundle on ;-D

Preface: This is not an argument for converting this game to Pathfinder. Just a discussion of the different systems.

One of the best things about Pathfinder (IMO) is that it gives the core classes a boost in power. The way they did this accomplishes a couple of things:

  1. Puts them back on par with much of the later 3.5 PC classes, restoring their luster and attractiveness for play.
  2. Makes them viable for play all the way through level 20.

This puts the PrC back where it belongs - an option for making characters unique, rather than the best way to boost their power and abilities. And most of the PrCs are easily converted for Pathfinder play by reworking the skill requirements.

This is a cool game as-is, and I'm fine with it staying 3.5. However, as Helfdan says if you want to add a little Pathfinder goodness to it I wouldn't mind at all using the Pathfinder Fighter and Barbarian classes for SoulFetter.

I know what you mean. We converted to Pathfinder in our other game about three months ago when we hit level 6. The almighty Scotley still hasn't leveled up, much less converted. :p There are so many little details that have changed that I might still be missing something.

It doesn't seem that hard to do when you've got plenty of time. But when RL is kicking your butt, it makes it a lot more difficult.

This is still a D&D 3.5 game, so Pathfinder rules and PrCs have no place in it. The various PrCs to be found in countless 3.5 sources are available as written.

As Leif said, this is a 3.5 game. Didn't we just have this discussion on being the last 3.5 game on EnWorld?
