Zelda Themelin
First Post
Made a long post and lost it.
But shorty. I love scarred lands, thematically awesome, lamer later books we didn't take seriously storywise.
I loved the titan&god angle, were fun to use in actual play to give some flavor to pc attitudes and later epic games were really interesting.
White Wolf never quite got 3rd system right, I loved R&R we lovingly call book of broken spells I and II. However their continual problems and editing errors with stat-blocks were quite irritating.
Best world ever, we use what we use of it, but nothing else has quite gotten me drawn into someone's else' setting quite like SL.
I just with they had kept up with original strong theme instead of trying to please everybody. Also, many freelancers didn't care to check for facts much. Some fluff was just plain wrong instead of being changed with purpose.
I really liked the way books were written. They were evocative and interesting to read, unlike most rpg books I have. Well Golarion has some good writing too, but I don't find that cosmos so awesome, it's just ok for me.
