Filling Out Cycles

Siberys

Adventurer
From my recent blog post;

I'm going to start work by filling out "cycles", to use trading card game parlance. In TCGs, a cycle is a series of cards with related designs or effects. D&D has its cycles, too, and a distressing number of them (at least for someone like me) are "partial", which is to say a pattern was set up but not filled out. A good example of this is the Warlock Pacts - there's an Infernal pact, but no Infernal binder. What gives?

At the end of the article, I ask for some ideas from my [currently rather limited] readership. Hence, I came here.

What cycles that aren't yet completed do you think should be filled out? What sort of thing would you like to see first?

Knights and Slayers get benefits from using certain weapons (heavy blades & hammers for knights, heavy blades and axes for slayers). I would like to see these fleshed out add other weapon types.

There are two sentinel druid "seasonable" builds (summer & winter?). I would like builds for the other 2 - though, WotC has said that it will be releasing those.

More Cavalier virtues and Blackguard vices... at the moment there are only 2 each.

That's my short list, anyway.

Good idea on the Slayer and Knight - I hadn't thought of those.

Re: Sentinels - I've actually already done both the Autumn and Winter sentinels (though I've only posted Autumn, here). Wizards has said they'd do 'em on DDI, though.

On virtues and Vices - that's a good idea. One thing I notice, though, is that they don't match up with the "classic lists". I could certainly match them up, and then fill out the remainder, though.

Yes, we need good and detailled advice for running adventures at the epic tier.

Other missing elements:

1. More Dragonshards of a greater variety.
2. The Friar Tuck class (cloth, quarterstaff melee, healing)
3. Better Seeker powers.
4. More support for Kalashtar, Shadar Kai, Changelings, Muls, Gnolls, Kenkus, et cetera.

Yeah, and more traps, terrain and challenges.

What about a hybrid monk/pacifist cleric?

3. Better Seeker powers.

FYI, I submitted a seeker article that was declined. BUT, the reason Stan! gave me was a big seeker article for Dragon was already in the works.
