Pathfinder 1E Will Paizo be the Good Guy? (humor)

Is it just me, or are there an absurd amount of us on here talking about how soon we'll leave our pathfinder games for 5e?

Isn't this the equivalent of going back to an abusive relationship, even after we lived with the really good guy who bought us a house and painted it the color we want. And then the ex comes back around smelling good and talking about it's changed and it got its job back and wants us to move back in. Well what about Me... I mean Pathfinder.

And if 5e is just a remarketed 4e, what would you expect from Pathfinder. To fix the mistakes again with another edition?

Being that this is EnWorld I'm not surprised at the fickleness and the desire to run back to the mothership at the slightest hint of hope.

Me? I'm staying with Pathfinder and I think over on the Paizo boards there are plenty of people who feel the same way as I do.

I'm betting I can talk D&D and Pathfinder into having a threesome.

When 4th Edition came out I was ready for a change. I'd played 3.0/3.5 for it's entire run and there were elements of the game I wasn't entirely happy with. I soon learned that 4th ed was not the game I was hoping for it so was back to 3.5 and then Pathfinder.

I love Pathfinder, but in the end it's still just a patched up version of 3.0/3.5. I think I've got system fatigue and I am ready for a change.

As a customer I would much rather support Paizo over WotC, but as a gamer I want to play the game closest to my tastes.

I am hoping for a lot out of 5th edition.

(I do play other systems, but D&D/PF has always been my groups go to system for long running campaigns.)

Yep, me too. Pathfinder is my game too unless 5e does something uberawesomefuntacular, but so far it's too early to make a judgment. Pretty happy where I'm at.

Oh, I'll check out 5e, particularly since the designers are being so nice about wooing me back. I'll play test it. But ditch my PF game for it? Way too early to tell. Paizo is just too in line with my gaming preferences right now to say I'm going back to anything WotC.
