Converting Planescape monsters

Knowledge (nature)? Survival?

Imp Init as bonus feat appeals. For the other feats, Dodge/Mobility/Spring Attack?

I'm not feeling that inspired at the moment, maybe I'll come up with something better tomorrow.

Do anything with that? Ferocity, perhaps?

A lot of AD&D creatures have combat bonuses when defending a mate or young, but I don't know of any that have official 3E conversions with a similar ability.

Did you agree with Shade's suggested skills? They seem ok to me.

The "Knowledge (nature)? Survival?" doesn't do much for me. Exploiting natural hazards could easily be left to flavour.

I'd rather just drop some ranks in Listen, Move Silently and Spot.

Wow, times have certainly changed! Weren't you the one who used to push for Survival ranks on almost every creature? ;)

That said, I'm fine without it or Know (nat).

Only when it seemed appropriate.*

Basically, I don't think there's anything in the RAW to support Knowledge (nature) or Survival helping it set up natural traps. If it lived in a particularly tough or inhospitable region I'd be OK with Survival to, well, help it survive. The Beastlands are teeming with animals, so the forests they live in should have plenty of prey for them, and I doubt they'd have any exceptional difficulty finding shelter or water either.

* Either that, or I just like to argue about things. :p

So, what are we doing skill wise?
