If you died, you could be resurrected but would have to roll system shock. Because it was hard to get ahold of a resurrection, many PCs would be reincarnated. Hope you aren't reincarnated as a blink dog.

Barbarians can't use magic item, but don't really need them, anyway, since they get a d12 HD, double Con bonus, and double Dex bonus. And they roll 9d6, keep 3 for strength; 3d3 for intelligence; 5d6, keep 3 for wisdom; 7d6, keep 3 for dexterity; 8d6, keep 3 for constitution; 6d6, keep 3 for charisma; and 4d6, keep 3 for comeliness -- as per Method V.

dwarves can´t be mages and everything magical but weapons and armors have a chance not to work for them.
