Most of my experience has been with 1e, though I have dabbled in every edition since.

I do like what I'm hearing about 5e, though I'm still kind of leery about them bringing back 3e multiclassing.

I have played AD&D, 3.0, 3.5, Pathfinder and 4th edition. I am currently playing Pathfinder, but I intend to switch to 5th edition once it comes out as I think it will fix a lot of the things I find wrong with the other systems.

I'm a very happy 4e player, but I think it's likely that I'll end up playing D&D Next. I'm expecting that the designers are going to build a game that's a lot of fun for me and my friends, and I enjoy playing a game that's actively supported.

Now, if the next edition comes out and I don't find it to be much fun compared to 4e, I'd probably end up sticking with 4e. But I'm pretty confident that the designers are good at their jobs and will make a game that I also find to be lots of fun, so I expect to move on to the new game when it's available.

Can I get an "other" option?

I like 4e more than I like 3.X in some regards. I like Pathfinder slightly more than I like 3.x, I like 3.x more than I like either of those in some areas.

If 5e can bring together what I like in 4e(standardization mostly) and what I like in 3e(creativity) and what I like in pathfinder(sanity in class design), then I'll be perfectly happy with 5e.

I'm still firmly where I was at when I first heard the announcement. That is to say that I like a lot of what I'm hearing, and in fact I pretty much haven't experienced any alarm bell moments from anything I've read about what they're doing, BUT (and this is a Biggest Loser sized but) I remain skeptical that they can actually deliver everything they are promising and am determined not to get my hopes up with a 'wait and see' approach.

I've played 2nd edition, 3.x, and 4E. Currently in a 4E campaign, in fact.

In regards to 5e? I'm more excited about Myth & Magic and 13th Age than 5e. Nothing I've seen thus far really fills me with confidence that this won't be yet another rules-heavy monstrosity from WotC.
