Mass Marking - that is not a standard action ?

My Warden is looking for items that can provide some marking ability.

There is a magic weapon that does burst 5, as a daily mark, but I am sure somewhere that I saw a magic item that did pretty much the same thing as encounter power, that I saw as a recent item, but I cant find it again.

Does anyone have any idea's ??

"Predatory weapon" from the Adventurer's Vault has an encounter power on a hit that lets you mark one enemy within 5 until the end of your next turn. That's the only one I could find!

I totally read that as Mass Marketing, and I thought, "No, it's not a standard action. Probably a hard skill challenge where each success represents days or weeks of activity."

Foe Maker Weapon does precisely that as a daily power. I don't think there are any that do just that as an encounter power.

While not directly answering your question, there's also the Warden Lvl 2 Utility Erupting Font, which allows you to mark all creatures in a Close Burst 5 when you make a saving throw at the start of your turn.

Yeah I saw that, and will get that, and also Erupting Font.
But then I thought I saw in a latter book, possibly MME where you could also do it as a minor action, but it must just have been my imagination

Have you considered multiclassing? I don't have good examples for a warden's ability scores, but the cleric has a few melee attacks that actually mark opponents, and so does the paladin (beyond Divine Challenge/Sanction/Defender Aura).

Unlike an item, if you don't like the power, you can always retrain it. (And you can retrain the multiclassing feat later if you don't like it too.)
