I know that the rules are not even out yet, however there has been a burning question going through my mind for months. How will 5e handle levels above 20th level. I have been a fan of epic level campaigns for years, and know it is not everyone's cup of tea.
The Tyranny of Dragons campaign has me really excited, stop the rise of Tiamat. Even if Tiamat does not appear in the campaign, it is the epic scale of the adventure that is exciting for me and can't wait to run it.
With 0e and 1e there were rules that worked well with this type of game. 3e had them but the 3e epic rulebook had a completely different system than the previous 20 levels due to, i believe the math did not work right. I thought it was ok, but did not enjoy how it felt compared to previous editions.
With what I have read and have seen, it seems that 5e will handle levels above 20 well, only time will tell.
I believe at 1 time there was stats for Asmodeous and others of that ilk. What were they like.
