D&D 5E How much of the PHB have we seen? Maybe more than you think!

Going all out on the flavor and production values...

when was the last time you actually read through a core rulebook? This could be the one.

Last time I got a core rulebook? Certainly for anything NOT called D&D.

I hadn't seen some of these pages before - the production values are generally really nice, but part of my 2nd edition soul is very very annoyed at the ultra-unrealistic weapons on the equipment pages (bordering on the WoW-ish).

Hey, don't forget the Basic rules, which are taken straight out of the PH (minus the art). That's 110 pages right there, but in the PH I'd guess it's probably closer to 160 pages (considering the art).

The INSPIRATION page should come before the HERMIT BACKGROUND page, accordingly to the Table of Contents!

While we haven't seen the 'raw' version the Wild Magic chart page, we have seen a photograph the whole page (page 104, opposite the Warlock's first page).

Not to be dismissive of your aesthetic opinion, but I find the equipment art very much in keeping with the philosophy that this is a fantasy game, not a medieval warfare simulation.

The fact that those weapons look neat and work well is a testament to the brilliant elven/dwarven/extremely-talented-human craftsmanship that went into them!

Near as I can figure, the page numbers will end up closer to the gutters of the book than on the outside of the page. That seems like an odd design choice and I hope I'm wrong. You'd think, for instance, that the first page for the sorcerer (listed as page 99) would be on the right hand side as you're looking at the book, and the next page (100) would be on the flip side.

You are fortunately mistaken! Take a look at the feather token on the right of Barbarian (page 46). It continues onto the left of page 47, placing the page numbering at the outside where it should be.

I see what you mean, but if you look closely at the art on the first and second pages of the sorcerer entry the color bands don't line up -- that's not a continued piece of art, just two similar backdrops.

Compare the bard, where again, the town scene on page two does not line up with the scene from page one, but the mask on the edge of page two lines up with the mask on page 3.

They all seem to work this way -- the art on the second page is related to the backdrop for the iconic character on the first page, but it isn't the same image. Then a picture of some accoutrement links a two-page spread, whether that is one-to-two or two-to-three.
