Thanks for all of the answers, Palladion. Could you peek at Appendix B again and tell me the suggested domains for Corellon Larethian (and if we haven't seen the features for that domain yet, could you share those as well?)

Thanks again! :D

Actually, the Basic rules do go into it. You can use the focus to replace the material components of a spell as long as they don't have a gold piece value listed.

That's right, but there are none listed in the equipment section.
How about some prices on those?
...or did I miss those too? =O

What does a wizard's spell focus do?
The basic rules does not go into it.

thanks again

I think this is in the Basic Rules in the Spellcasting chapter. "A character can use a component pouch or a spellcasting focus (found in chapter 5) in place of the components specific for a spell. But if a cost is indicated for a component, a character must have that specific component before he or she can cast the spell." (Components: Material PHB 203)

Does there seem to be any big changes in the equipment section to the weapons or armor? Any additional entries over the basic rules?

Thanks for all the answers.

Yes, wizard list has more spells at a glance with more utility and ritual spells. 9th level spell list, sorcerers have 5 spells, wizards have 12 spells. Astral projection, foresight, imprisonment, prismatic wall, shapechange, true polymorph, weird are not on the sorcerer list, for example.

Do sorcerer's get any spells that wizards don't?
