I'd asked my son to give me the DMG for Xmas and given him a printout of the Amazon page so he'd know exactly what to order. Last week, he handed me a DMG, saying "Here you are, as it won't be a surprise, you might as well have it now." He'd gone to the local FLGS and bought it over the counter.

Fortunately I keep my emails.

On Nov 4th Amazon advised me I'd have my copy of the DMG later in the month.
On Nov 16th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Dec 15th.
On Dec 15th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Dec 19th.
On Dec 17th Amazon advised me I'd have it on Jan 8th.

I indeed have no FLGS, and got my PHB from elsewhere, but Amazon were on time with the Monster Manual, and they've had my order for many months.

Amazon UK are terrible for RPG products. It's especially painful comparing the US experience (~30% discounts, plus those lovely 25% off any book codes) with the equivalent here (no discount, plus late delivery).

Still, could be worse: they're still estimating a February release for the Firefly RPG, despite it having been in the FLGS for months.
