If you just got into RPG with 3e and PF its probably quite perplexing when WoTC doesn't appear to want to push out endless books of stuff.
How about a compromise.... I'll agree to only 2 books a year as long as those books are not adventures and are low fluff books?
But if fluff is what sells (I don't know either way), why would they want to do that? And that is the thing, they know what had sold, and what hasn't, which is at least some place to start planning future product.
