D&D 5E CB's Stonefast IC -- COMPLETE

OOC: Let me know where you guys wish to go next. The last suggestion was to head to the room on the far eastern end of Hallway A to see whether there was a hidden room mirroring Room 7.

Father Spec reaches for the key under the table, and presents it triumphantly.

"Ooh. Look at the craftsmanship on this!" he is bubbling with excitement as his head pokes up, the metal key in his fist. "I've not seen its like."

He turns the object over in his hand, and looks at the parchment. He bubbles, "It all coheres! Archbishop Posonby had said there was an earth drake, draconis vulgaris terrestris, that had attacked the Rosemont order. But with this information, it strongly suggests it wasn't a vulgaris terrestris at all!" He chuckles at all the energy he had spent thinking it was. "No, not at all! This, and those marks in the floor, and that attack at Rosemont. They're all from a vermis vermiculis subterrano!" He says this as if he has just pulled back the curtain. "An underdark wyrm my friends! I'd bet my best hat. An underdark wyrm. Now that's something to look for!"

He shows the parchment to any and all who are interested, and then pockets it.

"Where shall we head?"

"I'm glad it cohenes," Guran replies, not sure of the meaning of all of Spec's revelation; "but couldn't it possibly be a thing we should rather look for a way to get away from?"

OOC: Yes, "cohenes." As Guran tries to process Spec's info-dump, he says that word wrong. Small matter.

"We had been talking about going from here to the room where Roscoe had been alone, to look for hidden doors. Shall we do that?"

Fulgrim followed along with Spec's theory. While examining the key and paper, he asked, "So what can an underdark wyrm do? Does it have any strengths or weaknesses?"

"I'm sure it has many!" enthuses Father Spec as he reaches for his mace, which he left under the table. "No idea what they are, though. Not yet anyways. Shall we?" he asks, pointing in the direction that the footprints seem to be heading, wherever that is.

"I am certain it has! Been and gone!" Father Spec scratches the end of his nose. "Could have been months ago!" he affirms, undaunted.

"Perhaps we should check the room in which Roscoe was resting for a secret door, then retire to the entrance to rest? In our exploration, I believe I have finally pieced together the workings of two new spells." Fulgrim intoned distractedly, probably still thinking of dragons.

OOC: Moving up a level gives me new spells, but I have to take a Long Rest to scribe and prepare the new spells. We don't have to stop, Fulgrim's just suggesting it as he would like to be at his most versatile.

The group exited Room 6, and turned right, heading east down the darkened Hallway A. The door to this room is busted off its hinges. At the eastern terminus of Hallway A, you find the room in which Roscoe had rested. The door to this room (Room 10 3) appears to have had a door at one time, if the stone lintel and hinge holes are anything to go by. Now, however, the door is gone and the doorway yawns wide, revealing blackness, broken wooden furniture, and dust. There is no mud in this room. From the look of it, Room 3 appears to have been an office, long since plundered. The furniture--a desk, three chairs, and a credenza-- has been smashed.

OOC: Let me know if you close either the south or north door to Room 6 when you leave. Remind me, what light source are ya'll using? I think Spec's spell/finger?
