How many human beings do you know?
I tried to come up with an answer, but the best I got was lots.
about a dozen when I was in school way long ago, that boss once, the two guys at the bar, my best friend for years, and the comic book guy, oh and that woman from my last job... so about 20 I would say... give or take, but most of them I assume grew out of it.
How many of them are human?
all of them...
I ask because I see that kind of reaction all the time, almost daily.
wow really?
It isn't the majority or anywhere close to the norm, but it certainly is common enough.
I would think not, I have gone entire years of my life without running into true bullies... atleast ones that speak openly....
And in honesty, sometimes unhappiness IS the fault of the complainant.
sometimes maybe, but not most of the time... and the problem is in this thread people have been pretty mean about saying that a problem being addressed is "Only you having sour grapes"
When it is, it isn't bullying to call that to their attention.
weather you are correct or not it doesn't stop it from being bulling... in fact being wrong about something doesn't make it less bullying either...
To provide a non-controversial example: my Mom HATES shows like Entertainment Tonight. She will loudly complain about the sordid details revealed in report after report; about how someone dressed "sluttily", etc.
...all while the TV remote is sitting inches away from her, and nobody gives a darn what is on TV because we're all doing something that demands more attention. Not that we watch ET either.
yea the problem with this analogy is if you change your stats "AKA change the channel" no one on the other side will say "Ok..."
my first post here way back before the necro talked about how in a pathfinder game I just took the stats I wanted... I didn't lie or even have the best stats, and I knew others did the same but lied and said they rolled...
Believe me, I have no qualms about telling my Mom to "change the channel because absolutely nobody wants to hear" her gripe about a show nobody cares about.
but would you be fine with "Just take the stats you want then?"
She is not having fun, but it is nobody's fault but her own, and telling her so is not bullying.
I don't belive that is bullying either... but if it was the only day you saw her and your answer was "If you are too XXXX to like it you can leave" that would be bullying
