- northern border war provided excellent opportunity to enrich herself by smuggling small packages of drugs and illegal magical ingredients. Witchers having good freedom of movement compared to most and little interaction with authority after all. Also a good opportunity to "professionally" study the rich and powerful up close.
- travelling to the valley of flowers to deliver a package. And hopefully collect one on the return run. Escort duty just means double payment for a trip she would make anyway.

Was just thinking of Kynee's smuggling of fisstech and magic/alchemical contraband, and something occurred to me...

Maybe Kynee's *real* business in Dol Blathanna is delivering some kind of magical/alchemical contraband to the elves which she smuggled thru Nilfgaard-occupied Aedirn and Lyria. Maybe it's something the Nilfgaardians really want to get their hands on. So Kynee is using the job to escort Odvara to the elves as a convincing cover story to dodge the Nilfgaardians.

Another PC tie-in, if anyone is looking for options. Kynee may have found out about the escort job through the friend-of-a-friend network. Not every scumbag adventurer is willing to escort a crazy source into elven territory.

Kynee, if we know each other from before, Talashia could have told you about the escort thing? She has a couple of reasons to be involved in that. Interest in the learning and lore of the elves, but also because sheltering a young mage against prejudice and violence is very in-character.

I am, however, aware that folks are reporting it an issue (moreso at higher levels) when buffs start to stack up. Let's agree to keep an eye out, and if it ever starts to be a problem to come up with a fix that works for you.

Great to see you coming up with connections between your characters! I often find this the hardest thing to convince players to do, so thanks for making it easy on me

It's OK I decided against it anyway and have gone a different way with the Scout. I will have the character up in the Rogues Gallery soon.

That works for me. Kynee prefers to help those who help themselves.

What do you think of an accidental meeting after Talashia blew the roof off Kynee's prison? Or chance encounter on the road somewhere? Or something with more meaning? A client of Kynee's maybe?

I uploaded a new version of the setting PDF to the same Google Drive link. Finished the Lifepath tables. Started working on different Source Wild Surge options. Added new monsters. There is some DM only stuff on the adventure towards the end, so just pay no attention to those droids.

Lets talk blowing the roof off. That sounds like the kind of thing that could more plausibly lead to a friendly relationship than meeting randomly on the road somewhere.

Do any of the characters have connections with the elves at all? Darius is heavily involved with them (no specifics) and it would make for a good connection.
