D&D 5E ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator

Thanks for the feedback!

1. The custom races were examples from the Example Character Zenith file, normally when I reset the test character I also reset the Custom sheet. You can check them all out in the Example Character Zenith file (which also has some cool example formula as well like the Handy Haversack weight limit, you can check out all formula used by going to Formulas > Show Formula in the ribbon menu)
2. See 1
3. Storm Sorcerer is from UA, so play test material that is in draft form. The detail from UA is planned to be implemented once officially released.
4. The detail is located in the Race, Background, Class and Feats details when you select a Wizard class under the Spellcasting bullet point

Thanks; that all makes sense.

For the Sorcerous Origin, would it be possible to have a custom option like we do for races? You know, to allow us to input those things in play test for our characters?

At this point Ryonez, I wouldn't be surprised if Forged stopped responding to you completely based on your behavior. It appears to me that he has answered your question very politely without being rude--something in which you have failed. Forged won't unprotect the workbook. He won't release the password. Let it go. Similarly to flwad, I will not comment further.

Hi Maerwynne,

So, your the first person to mention your finding an issue with my behavior. I admit I have trouble communicating because I'm autistic.
Where was I being rude? I've been trying very hard to things polite. Language was brought up because the generator has been done in other languages, meaning it was possible that there was a language barrier.

Forged has given a reason for why he hasn't given out the password. I saw a way to take that into account and offered a solution. If he at any point said, "Look, I don't want to give the password for any reason." it could have been finished at my first post. As this hasn't been the case, I can only assume that my replies aren't being read correctly.

I think my last 2 questions are very clear, and an answer to either of then would make Forged's stance very clear.

Also Maerwynne, while you have helped by giving another point of view to me, saying that you won't comment further to me is, well stupid.
Because that will not help me learn in the slightest. Flawd mentioned that Forged had stated his intentions. That's great, so I asked where he did. But he didn't want to reply, so I'm still asking Forged.

I shouldn't have needed to mention I'm autistic, but I clearly need help with understand where the miscommunication is. So I'll ask you, please help me clear this up!

I became a Cleric and noticed that when I drop down the first Cantrip slot it is blank, all the options are invisible or not there I cant tell. So I remade it on a new character on a fresh download and it still happened, so at this point I am guessing it was me doing something in the custom race I made and messed it up or its a bug in the program itself and well your the programmer not me so I am just letting you know cause I really want to know, did I screw it up or is it a bug?

Issue found when using a custom race, this is fixed in v1.57 and only applies to the first cantrip cell. I may need to tweak the behavior though

Right, I've gone and asked for some perspective form elsewhere.

I'd like to apologize to you ForgedAnvil.
I didn't comprehend that there was an underling meaning to your reply's, and continued further than I should have.
I do believe that you've made a great generator, and thank you for sharing it with us.

To Flawd and Maerwynne, I missed the message you two were trying to get across as well. I'm sorry.

Hi Ryonez, no problem!

Happy to hear you're enjoying the generator and find it useful in your gaming endeavors. Any feedback is always welcomed to improve and fix bugs.

Keep having fun and enjoying D&D!

Did you miss this second question, FA?

Ahh, it was actually answered in a post 2 before yours

This one is asked a lot, for custom classes and subclasses, I've certainly considered this for a long time. The amount of work required to implement this feature (with full automation) is significantly more than implementation of the entire character sheet as you see it today. My plan at the moment is to wait for new classes (e.g. mystic) and subclasses (e.g. Artificer) to be released officially, Over time the number of classes and subclasses will increase, making customization even more challenging. At this stage I have no plans for customization of classes or subclasses.

I know I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but I wish there was a chance to make a custom class...I making a homebrew class and it would be nice to have it be part of this character builder...

Thanks for the answer, FA. Not what I wanted to hear, but que sera. If it is too much work to implement, then so be it!

I saw your response regarding the password thing, and I agree with you not wanting to give it out due to coding and people screwing things up and so forth. Have you thought about turning this into a standard VB application with an Access or other named DB application behind it?
